A three-year-old migrant child died while being transported to Chicago, Illinois, aboard a bus sponsored by the State of Texas. The child died as the bus neared Salem, Illinois, late Thursday.
The child, believed to be from Venezuela, was transported from Brownsville, Texas, to Chicago with family members after being released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
According to a report by CBS, the child was taken to a hospital in Salem after suffering a medical emergency in Marion County. According to a statement by the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM), when the child presented with health concerns, the bus driver pulled over, and on-board security personnel called 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.

Though a different type, Venezuela has greater deposits of oil than Saudi Arabia.
I knew some girls from there, hopefully they’re okay.
Illinois should take better care of their sanctuary people
Probably was dying on the trip from Venezuela.
Trump’s fault.
Well, if he had been deported back to his home country he would not be dead.
Maybe the illegal aliens need to be checked for medical problems before they are allowed into our country ???
IMMIGRANTS are and cannot come here if they have diseases etc
Why was the child not deported to his home country ?
Yeah, but the Biden regime said it’s OK because the parents promised to only vote for democrats in every election going forward.
The child died in the hospital not on the bus according to the story. And the child was in the custody of his criminal alien parents.
Venezuela oil is alot like some of their people, muddy, filthy and crude as hell.
The girls I knew were white ChemE majors.
I do enjoy the joke though. :)
“Maybe the illegal aliens need to be checked for medical problems before they are allowed into our country ??”
While, no doubt, this will be blamed on Gov. Abbot, why didn’t the Immigration people notice the kid was unwell?
I’m in regular contact with a slew of people working the Southern Border.
Our “New found besties” barely know how to take care of their children, and that’s the best of them. Basic nutrition, hygiene, changing a diaper is alien to so many of them. But I guess it’s our fault we don’t have ICU care for every single one of them.
My Dad’s family came through Ellis Island in October 1927. The stories my grandpa and grandma told about their health checks back then were amazing. My then-seven year old uncle (now deceased) spoke rarely of his recollection of a cavity search. It really traumatized him.
Migration Hot Potato
Isn’t everything these days?!
Exactly.
Most of the folks mandated to handle the "new Americans" are Customs and Border Protection. They're well trained in sawing vehicles in half, spotting fake travel documents, finding concealed contraband, etc.
Most of the tasks they're called on to serve, turning up the Air Conditioning, supplying iPhone Chargers, fixing Xboxes, doing laundry, changing diapers, cleaning bathrooms, etc. they're okay at, mainly through diligence and dedication.
Screening for serious medical issues, infectious diseases, etc. is so far beyond what they signed up for, it's not fair to task them with this.
When I IMMIGRATED to the USA in 1971 I had to have a clean bill of health, x-rays and shots BEFORE I came here...
The US Embassy chose the doctor, I paid the high doctor’s bills...
