According to video posted by ABC’s Kelsey Walsh, a dozen supporters of former President Donald Trump approached Pence and yelled at him, stating that he is a “traitor” and “sellout.”
“Why’d you sell out the people,” one supporter could be heard asking, followed by the question, “Why didn’t you uphold the Constitution” — a likely reference to Pence certifying the 2020 election results.
“I upheld the constitution,” Pence retorted, later yelling, “Read it!”
A dozen Trump supporters approached Mike Pence’s vehicle as he entered his Friday event yelling, “that’s a traitor,” “you’re a sellout,” and “why didn’t you uphold the constitution?”

That day, Pence attended a campaign event at American Legion Post 27 in Londonderry.
Pence has been further criticized for stating during an interview with Fox News that he essentially could have rejected fraudulent votes which “would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the House of Representatives, and literally chaos would have ensued.”

This what happens when, for four years, you sit on your thumbs as VEEP and don’t learn a thing about your Constitutional duties. Instead, he got the glory without doing a thing. Now, with his entitlement thinking he wants the presidency handed to him. Did this habit of entitlement cause him to sit back in the Senate and let the kickbacks line his pocket? Does Trump know something about Pence that could be costly?

On this, he is correct. Those saying otherwise are either lying, ignorant, or stupid. Those are the only choices. The Vice President has zero power or authority in the Constitution, statutes governing the counts, or congressional rules to unilaterally block certification. Even if he could have made a such a ruling on his own motion in the proceedings (which he could not), the ruling could have merely been appealed for a full vote and easily blocked. It is embarrassing that this stupid and ridiculous discussion continues to be had as though the Vice President has any unilateral or plenary power to do anything. The mechanism does not exist under any articles in the Constitution, constitutional amendments, laws, or congressional rules. None.

This “case” (which is actually not one) is Constitutional science fiction.
The “election” alleged to be fraudulent has no Constitutional existence. The 50 State Legislatures which appoint 535 Electors (and Congress, which appoints 3) have all adopted the custom of having people voting as the means by which the appointments are normally made, but this creates 51 elections, not one.
Those 51 elections occur at the direction of, and are subservient to, 50 legislatures and Congress. The States unwisely granted Congress 3 Electors by ratifying the XXIII Amendment in 1960, so Congress does have supervisory power OVER THOSE THREE, but not otherwise.
There is only one Presidential election in the Constitution, it takes place in December, there are 538 voters, and in December 2020 Biden got 306 of them and was elected President.
No State Legislature objected that its Electors were not the ones they had appointed. No State Legislature even convened to consider the matter. In the case of Pennsylvania, the Legislature fled to avoid considering the matter.
It has never been alleged that a single one of the 306 votes for Biden/Harris was a forgery, that the Electors who casted them were impersonating someone else, or that the Legislatures had secretly appointed other Electors.
There is zero space for an allegation of fraud in the Constitutional Presidential election of December 14, 2020.
As far as the 51 elections which occurred on November 3, 2020, they may very well have been rife with fraud, but since the appointment power of the 50 State Legislatures (535) and Congress (3) is plenary, that’s a problem for those legislatures to deal with should they choose to do so.

Pence mischaracterizes what happened. Trump didn’t ask Pence to overturn an election. He asked him to investigate a fraud being perpetrated on the United States.
