The tone deaf attitude of Republican pro Washington DC puppets is a “sight to behold.”

It’s an amazing phenomenon.

Yep. I'm beginning to have more respect for Peter Strozk and Nancy Pelosi. At least they have a set of stripes that don't change. They is what they is. Republicans in D.C. are a vile bunch of middle school girls playing all sides of every issue based on who might see them?

I think what you say makes sense. 50 individual state election officials had certified their election results. They certified their results through the laws and procedures of their states.

Even if Pence had sent votes back to the states, having rejected their electoral votes, the states may well have reconfirmed that these electoral votes are indeed the correct authorized electoral votes. Then we would have been back to square one.

Please.

The establishment GOp was an active participant in the theft. Pence was hardly alone…

And there is no mechanism for a “do-over” in the Constitution. There is no new date for the Electors to meet and vote. Congress could reject them, but they could not be recast. If enough got rejected that neither candidate got a majority of Electors, then the election would go to the House.

Those comments are not originally mine that were bracketed - I linked back to the original poster.

But the fact is that Pence could either be the greatest man to ever be VP, or the worst to ever be VP - that doesn’t change the reality the VP has no such power - you cannot find in the Constitution, you cannot find it in the statutes governing the counting process, and you cannot find it in the Congressional rules. It does not exist. He presides over the proceedings to count them, can rule on motions made, but his rulings can be overruled by procedure as the presiding officer...

.

If you believe him that he loves God, is honest, and just wants to do the right thing, then you can’t explain his comments in the hours before the March when he was hyping the MAGA crowds and driving people to make the trip.

Jan 4th: He’s cunning and conniving. He had made the decision already because he filed motions to oppose already.

Jan 6th: He’s honest and following God. He’s a constitutional scholar and proud of his decision, says Mike.

One would think he had God on Jan 4th and understood the constitution which he maintains is crystal clear.

Why is it the People that criticize Trump’s every action, have no concern in the world about Biden’s Corruption, Biden’s National Security Docs, Biden genuinely being Compromised?

You see it with Pence, Barr, Christie, Mitch McConnell.

The ones that scream it’s the end of democracy are actually Biden fans.

There’s an inverse scale there and see it over and over and…

There’s a couple FReepers that insist otherwise. They claim that the military will oversee the redo of an election. One FReepers has been comically wrong on almost all of her predictions going back to December 2020. If makes for fun reading.

Pence deserves this treatment EVERY SINGLE TIME he ever tries to make a public appearance again.

Yes, The GOP is the root of all America’s current problems for sure but Pence was the guy that could’ve actually legally done something and didn’t.

Several state legislatures sent their own (Republican) electors, due to disputed election results. As you say, the Constitution gives state legislatures that right. Pence double-crossed the nation by ignoring them.

Yes, yes, they were all in on it. I agree. What is your problem? I blame the republican party 100% for the election steal they should’ve fought the dropboxes and unsolicited mail in ballots in court before the election. The GOP is also responsible for America’s destruction by never really defending America, just stuffing their dirty pockets.
