On Friday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) stated that people have negative views of President Joe Biden’s handling of the economy because they haven’t gotten over their feelings from “the last year of the Trump administration, in which he did absolutely nothing to protect people from coronavirus.” Pritzker also blamed “the false rhetoric coming from the Republicans, who are pushing Facebook fakery.”
Co-host Poppy Harlow asked, “He’s just not resonating with voters on the economy. We have this new CNN polling out this week, 63% of folks disapprove of how he’s handling the economy, 70% disapprove of how he’s handling inflation. Why do you think that is? Because the numbers across the board are getting better on the economy.”

The price of a lot of things has doubled and no sign of coming down. Just got a letter from the electric company saying they want to raise rates over 8% next year to invest in “sustainable” sources of energy. Gas bills are going up too for the same reason.

Twice as many American died from COVID while Biden was President than did so when Trump was President.
No, the lies make it look better until they get revised downward after the initial report shows progress. The revision shows it is only getting worse. People know what they spend for things currently, and they know what they bring home. The take home is not keeping pace with the inflation.

There’s no logic here. What does Trump not protecting people from COVID have to do with the economy two years later? Each state had their own approach to COVID and destroying the economy, with some states doing less harm than others. Would the economy be better if Trump shutdown all America equally? No. It would be worse. Perhaps things would have been better if he fired everyone in government that was pushing doom and gloom, but I really don’t think so. The COVID response was on autopilot in nearly every state and the mainstream media with its continuous body count and endless stories was going to scare most of America into hiding. Biden certainly hasn’t done anything to improve the economy. Every policy and all the spending has just exacerbated the downturn beginning with COVID. As for millions returning to work, Biden had nothing to do with that, it was going to happen as soon as things opened up again.
I’ve never met any southern Illinois resident who actually likes the policies of Illinois. It truly is like a different state.

I would prefer that Chicago needs to be its own state. The rest of Illinois would get along just fine.

The implication (and I think the Dems really do believe this) is the peasants are veritably incapable of forming opinions for themselves. Or to put it another way, everyone except the elites are NPCs.
