When will shareholders ask Ford to choose between Klaus Schwab and their money?
No one except the state wants them. And who cares what consumers or shareholders want? Not Ford.
Back in March, I wrote that, “Ford reported that it’s going to lose $3 billion on electric cars in 2023. Unlike most automakers, Ford reports its electric vehicle numbers separately, but experts estimate that most car companies are losing similar amounts on the dead end business.”
“Ford plans to make 2 million electric cars every year by 2025. That would be impressive considering that Ford only sold 61,575 of them in 2022. It sold 3,624 electric vehicles in Feb 2023.”
And the numbers just keep getting worse. It’s now a loss of $4.5 billion.

“...Democrats who all like to drive around in black Chevy Suburbans, GMC Yukons, or Cadillac Escalades...”
You noticed too.
My sister and my cousin are going from Wisconsin to Minnesota in August to visit relatives. My cousin calls my sister last week and tells her she just bought a new car and it only goes 200 miles on a charge - can my sister drive. We guess she’s afraid there won’t be charging stations on the route. We laughed that, once again, the evil fossil fuel guzzler would get the job done.
Ford is part of the ruse
gas cars will be banned
but its ok cuz you can switch to an EV or maybe not
too expensive/no place to charge it?
shut up and get on the bus
EVs will not replace gas cars
I was gonna buy a new Ford 150 pickup w/V8.
The day we went to meet with the sales manager just happened to be the same day they came out with that woke rainbow-pianted queer truck. I told the sales manager that I was no longer interested in their trucks because of it. I decided to hold onto my old one awhile longer, but looking hard at a new Toyota these days....no queer EV Fords for this child.
Ford used to take a contrarian position on muscle cars and hard-working gas and diesel pickups. Sadly wokism has captured Ford’s leadership and now the mission is to go bust or broke conforming to the lunatic environmentalist message.
$25k small pickups is what the market wants.
Like a plain Jane ‘80s Ranger, S10, or Toyota Diesel HiLux would be great.
Manual, 5 speed please.
F150 for $60-90+K is just nuts.
They do sell a non-plug in hybrid version of the Maverick.
The auto companies are forcing themselves into bankruptcy on purpose. They are being directed to do so.
They have storage lot fields of new vehicles they produced that no one wants or can afford. Their prices on new vehicles with crappy engines and more “designed to fail” plastic parts under the hood, are through the roof.
Lol…would you buy a “ used” EV?
Dealer: “ You’re gonna love this beauty. Very low miles!”
You to dealer: “ So why was it traded in?”
Dealer: “ If you think you don’t like it now, just give it a try and wait until you drive it a while.”
I’m sure dumb libtards will rush out to save the planet (Ford)
Because they made a better version of their Maverick, a hybrid vehicle.
EV’s can be fun toys, but real working people need vehicles that can travel long distances reliably without regard to load, temperature, terrain, etc.
I’ve noticed most proponents of EVs seem to be upper class people who also own a gas-powered vehicle to use when things get serious.
As an example of truck use from my personal life. I had a 4-cyl stick shift pickup in most of my 20's and 30's and it was fine for me then because my pickup chores were both infrequent and light, especially in my 20's while I was slowing getting a BS in computer science while working full time. In other words, at that time in my life an EV pickup would have met my needs.
But since I turned about 40 my pickup chores have become more frequent and heavier loads because I've taken on more responsibilities for extended family and the church. Thus, when it was time to replace my truck I got a mid-sized one. I wouldn't get an EV truck today even though my wife and I get a lot of use out of our EV car (we're obviously not EV haters). The EV car is practical for us, but an EV truck would be impractical for us.
That said, the only reason the EV car is practical for us is because we're married and need two cars anyway. The 2nd car is the ICE pickup as a fallback in case we one day decide to go on a long trip that has few chargers, or if the Dims have their way on making power less dependable and more costly, etc. I wouldn't get an EV car or truck if I was single and needed just one car.
You should have heard my V8 hot rod popping like firecrackers to get groceries this morning lol 😆. Try that with your battery crap
Your post make a lot of sense on its own. I will add a few other factors:
1. Bigger trucks have lower gas mileage so converting them has a bigger impact on corporate mpg.
2. Competition is focusing on larger trucks.
3. Most large trucks are only occasionally used for large loads or hiigh mileage.
4. The Lightening has the capability of supplying power at the worksite with its large battery.
Bill Ford is totally Woke....
You make good points. I guess to your point # 3 is that some people get a large pickup as a status symbol and not for practical use.
“A brewery is an auto company is a railroad is a bank.”
True since the 70s.

“Ford Rangers don’t have a very robust engine anyway, so who would tell the difference?”
EV’s have a LOT of torque so everyone will notice the difference.
