When will shareholders ask Ford to choose between Klaus Schwab and their money?
No one except the state wants them. And who cares what consumers or shareholders want? Not Ford.
Back in March, I wrote that, “Ford reported that it’s going to lose $3 billion on electric cars in 2023. Unlike most automakers, Ford reports its electric vehicle numbers separately, but experts estimate that most car companies are losing similar amounts on the dead end business.”
“Ford plans to make 2 million electric cars every year by 2025. That would be impressive considering that Ford only sold 61,575 of them in 2022. It sold 3,624 electric vehicles in Feb 2023.”
And the numbers just keep getting worse. It’s now a loss of $4.5 billion.

They plan to make 2 million EVs although they only sold 61,575 last year.
You mean like the “mustang” mach-e?
Corporate staff is loaded with college indoctrinated executives. They’re going to ride this thing right into the ground.
Starting to see E-Stangs on used car lots.....................
I’ve heard about their Electric pickup. What a joke. IF they can even haul something, their range goes down tremendously.
Go woke go bigly broke.
If I owned a Ford Electric, I would park it 100 feet from any structure. All electrics are prone to burn eventually.
Ford is counting on governments mandating their crappy EV’s unlike Toyota who is counting on creating good enough batteries that people will actually want electric cars.
They can make all the electric cars they want and so far they can’t force anyone to buy them. Including the Democrats who all like to drive around in black Chevy Suburbans, GMC Yukons, or Cadillac Escalades.

To them it’s all the same. They are professional managers. A brewery is an auto company is a railroad is a bank.
Going broke could not happen to a more deserving company
That makes some sense. I don’t understand all the financial calculations, but, if they are losing that much, they would get tax benefits from such losses, such as offsetting those losses against business profits from the sales of other cars and trucks.
Also, there may be some other subsidies which the federal government is giving, or will give, to car companies to induce them to produce electric cars.
Last year, Gavin Newsom decreed that new internal combustion engine vehicles can’t be sold after 2035 in California. Some other states are using the 2035 target as well. Long term, the car companies see the future as being in electric vehicles.
Isnt this why the fed govt is giving Ford a $9 BILLION dollar “ loan” to build these lemons?
https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/22/23769966/ford-doe-loan-ev-battery-factory-sk-avtm
Ford receives $9.2 billion government loan for EV battery factory projects / The eye-popping sum represents the biggest government investment in the auto industry since the bailouts from the Great Recession.
To me the small pickup truck drivers would be more apt to choose an EV truck. (Assuming, of course, an EV is practical for them in other ways, such as they drive a lot of miles per year to for the gas savings to warrant more up front cost, they live in the south so they don't have to worry about cold weather draining the battery, live at a house they can charge at home with instead of an apartment, etc.) Silly me. I'm talking free market and practical decision making for best meeting your needs. That seems uncommon lately.
The worst part of EVs is that, people give up o them a lot sooner than they do with ICE vehicles, and when they trade them in for other vehicles, the dealers get stuck with most of them, since the market for used EVs is not as great as for regular ICE vehicles. Dealers would like to sell them, since the manufacturer parent company makes them, but, they don’t want them back as used EVs.
If government wasn’t insisting on people getting EVs, most car-makers would not be making them, not even a single model
Not learning from the Bud Light adventure obviously.
“Ford Keeps Losing More Money Making Electric Cars No One Wants”
Ford had to put a hold on orders since demand exceeded orders!
“They plan to make 2 million EVs although they only sold 61,575 last year.“
The Rats “loaned” Ford 10 Billion to do so. I think the plan is flood the market with EV’s which causes a glut which drives the prices down which will eventually boost sales. But it won’t because people do not want them and it’s not due to a lack of charging stations
You must mean the Ranger.
Yes, I think that would be a better application for an EV instead of the full-size trucks. Ford Rangers don't have a very robust engine anyway, so who would tell the difference?
thats what shareholder lawsuits are for....
NOT everyone is losing money on this scam.
