The contentious music video for Jason Aldean's "Try That in a Small Town" was slightly changed as it continues to climb the charts and draw criticism. Did the singer finally cave in to pressure and the immense cancel culture?
The music video is currently six seconds shorter than when it was first uploaded on July 14, according to The Washington Post, which published this information on Tuesday, July 25.
The initial video appears to have been edited to exclude news footage from Fox 5 Atlanta showing Black Lives Matter marches and protests in 2020. In the initial version of the video, the snippets appeared twice.
The video was once shown outside a Tennessee courthouse that was supposedly the scene of a Black teen's lynching in the

Consider the source.
I thought that the change was due to a copyright issue...
He didn’t “cave” the video excerpt was copy righted so it had to be pulled.
FAKE NEWS!!!
The truth is Fox News owned that footage in the video and was going to rightfully sue Aldean if he didn’t remove that copyrighted material.
Aldean had to comply with the law.
I read he got dinged about copyright on the video. Is that incorrect?
Globohomo scum.
“ I thought that the change was due to a copyright issue...”
Exactly. I don’t he had any choice in the matter and it has only provided more publicity
FOX News aka Faux News
Aldeen can stop all the criticism immediately by ending each verse with the rap line, “ya crazy mofugga!”
Correct, but in banana republic America, propaganda trumps facts every time.
Tell the lie. Repeat the lie. Amplify the lie. And when the truth is revealed, don't even bother to publish a retraction.
If Shakespeare were alive today it wouldn't be the lawyers first in his admonition.
More BS. from Fako Newzo...
He didn’t ‘cave’.
Ryan and the Murdoch kids made him. FNC is long gone
He didn’t exactly “cave.” The story posted earlier was that Fox ordered the video producer to remove the Fox footage from the video.
Pussy. You can never cave to the Race Baiting Poverty Pimps and the Perpetually Professionally Aggrieved. It will never stop.

Sounds right. There’s a fair use exception to news copyrights, but it applies to use for political commentary, not to for-profit use.
... and yet news companies, which are for-profit, routinely show clips from Hollywood blockbusters, even though they are copyrighted.
He didn’t cave, FOX demanded that he take their video out of his music video. He essentially had a copyright violation.
Replace it with a private owned clip of BLM in action that is authorized.
He didn’t “cave”, but he should’ve gotten written permission to use the copyrighted tape from FOX....
This is another example of what Ann Coulter said the other day. The media twists every title to be the opposite of what really happened.
He had to remove footage for copyright reasons.
Not Saying if that was good or bad, just that’s what the reason was. But the headline seems like they’re saying he became a coward.
