They Prosecutors were between a rock and a hard place....They could not admit that there were not additional on going investigations as that would open the door for unprotected questioning and investigation by the House Sect Committee on a whole host of other matters and they couldn’t admit to the plea deal that was actually agreed upon with a wink and a nod because the judge would not allow it and it would make them appear as corrupt as they actually are.

I think the Dems will somehow or another get rid of Biden so as to establish a new candidate. Biden will run, but will choose a different running mate this time. Options might be Gretchen Whitmer or Gavin Newsom.
Once the election results are in, Biden will have a terrible accident, and the new VP-elect will be sworn in as POTUS.
Just one scenario that I’ve heard floating about.
If Hunter had filed as an foreign agent the gig would have never started the spot light would be on.
It isn’t like the D.C. folks didn’t know of Joes dealing for years good old boys stay mum for a reason.

The longer this Hunter Biden story is dragged out, Joe Biden’s chances of reelection diminishes. On CBS Mornings (July 27, 2023), Rikki Kliemann said that Hunter’s legal team wanted this original deal desperately because they thought Hunter would be immune to other federal crimes other than the ones he pleaded guilty. When the brave judge hypotheticals about Hunter possibly being charged with being an unregistered agent for a foreign country, the prosecutor said he isn’t immune to that indictment. The Hunter lawyer tipped his hand by saying the agreement is now null and void. What’s especially bad for the Bidens is the court recorder typed what Hunter Biden lawyer said in court. This could be used as evidence that Hunter Biden knew that not being a registered agent for a foreign country is illegal and he could face charges. I hope the House Republicans pay attention to this court hearing very carefully and continue their investigation of Hunter Biden.

Short of the media closing ranks and trying desperately to hide the story -- which is already happening, of course -- Joe's pretty well in a bind either way. And even the media can't ignore this forever.
If he pardons Hunter, it's effectively an admission that everything about his bribery/influence peddling scheme is true. If he doesn't, ... well, it will all come out in court anyway.
Biden's only chance here is to try and run out the election clock, but there's seriously too much time between now and next November. The Dems are going to have to replace him.

Joe won’t resign and the DemocRats won’t vote to convict no matter how much evidence of corruption the GOP uncovers. Hell, I doubt the House even has the votes to impeach. The Rats have too good a thing going with Dementia Joe being the sock puppet for the shadow presidency.
But I have no doubt that the Rats will abandon this sinking ship in 2024.
