Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.

Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
Howdy, Kathy.
It looks like a beautiful day up there. Have you taken a little time to relax on the deck and soak a little sunshine?
Cats are fed, I’m eating supper now, and da tootsies are up for a wile. LOL Both days were steadily busy at the museum and I didn’t get to sit down either day. Had a great time with the visitors I went through with on tours but I have to say I’m glad I don’t have to go back tomorrow. I’m whupped. LOL

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way.
A blessed Eighth Sunday after Pentecost (Western)/Seventh Sunday after Pentecost (Orthodox) to all!
Throughout the Vietnam War, the U.S. military flew troops into and out of Southeast Asia aboard contracted commercial airliners. The women who served aboard these planes as flight attendants accompanied young servicemen, anxious and apprehensive, on their way to a war they did not fully understand. And they were there to provide compassionate support during the return flights of these soldiers, who were exhausted, elated to be coming home, yet shocked by what they had endured. The flight attendants gained a unique and formative perspective on their country at war. Although these women were an integral part of the Vietnam War experience, their contributions are largely unknown outside of the veteran community.

God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
That’s a lot of time on your feet...I’m sure your back is grateful that the standing is over or another week.
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
If I’m walking most of the time, being on my feet that long isn’t much of a bother. Standing most of the time is a different story and I did a lot of that yesterday and today. We have a lot of small items in cases, and mannequins wearing uniforms donated by local vets have signs with the vets’ service history. Yesterday’s first tour was 2 1/2 hours as the people checked it all out. Today’s first tour was a little over an hour and a half. A lot of stationary time but that’s ok. We like it when folks want to take it all in.
It was a good weekend but yes, the ol’ bum back is ready for a break. LOL
Good evening, lightman, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
And a blessed Eighth Sunday after Pentecost (Western)/Seventh Sunday after Pentecost (Orthodox).
Our rain seems to be done for a while, but I’m grateful for the 2”+.
Hope you are getting at least a little rain.
I have taken a couple 15-20 minute breaks to sit out on the deck...I could easily fall asleep. LOL! And I’ll go again in a bit. 😊
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Hope you and Blue were able to enjoy some time together today.

Bible in a Year:
I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers.
Malcolm Cloutt was named a 2021 Maundy Money honoree by Queen Elizabeth II, an annual service award given to British men and women. Cloutt, who was one hundred years old at the time of the recognition, was honored for having given out one thousand Bibles during his lifetime. Cloutt has kept a record of everyone who’s received a Bible and has prayed for them regularly.
Cloutt’s faithfulness in prayer is a powerful example of the kind of love we find throughout Paul’s writings in the New Testament. Paul often assured the recipients of his letters that he was regularly praying for them. To his friend Philemon, he wrote, “I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers” (Philemon 1:4). In his letter to Timothy, Paul wrote, “Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers” (2 Timothy 1:3). To the church in Rome, Paul emphasized that he remembered them in prayer “constantly” and “at all times” (Romans 1:9–10).
While we might not have a thousand people to pray for like Malcolm, intentional prayer for those we know is powerful because God responds to our prayers. When prompted and empowered by His Spirit to pray for a specific individual, I’ve found a simple prayer calendar can be a useful tool. Dividing names into a daily or weekly calendar helps me be faithful to pray. What a beautiful demonstration of love when we remember others in prayer.
Reflect & Pray
What has helped you be faithful in prayer? How have you been blessed by someone’s prayers for you?
Father, help me to be faithful in prayer, knowing You always hear me.
