Trump Gets Bad News From His Own Pollster's Firm
Newsweek ^ | July 21, 2023 | Katherine Fung

Former President Donald Trump on Friday received some bad news from the firm of his own pollster about the 2024 presidential race.

A Fabrizio Ward and Impact Research poll surveying voters in 40 competitive House districts across the nation found that while President Joe Biden has an edge over Trump in those crucial swing districts, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was a bigger threat to the incumbent.

While Biden led Trump 47 percent to 43 percent in a hypothetical matchup, Biden and DeSantis were to be tied at 45 percent.

...

Participants were surveyed by Fabrizio Ward ... who is credited with writing an influential internal memo that helped Trump switch his 2016 campaign strategy two weeks before Election Day, was Trump's chief pollster in 2016 and 2020. He is currently a pollster with MAGA Inc., a Trump-aligned super political action committee.

Women over 50 in those competitive districts also seemed to favor Biden over Trump and DeSantis over Trump. When Trump and Biden go head to head, 48 percent back the Democrat, compared to the 44 percent who support Trump. But in a Biden-DeSantis matchup, the two tie at 46 percent among women over 50.

...

The discrepancy between voters 50 to 64 and those 65 and up seemed to remain in a hypothetical matchup between Biden and DeSantis, with the earlier group favoring the Republican and the latter group favoring the Democrat. DeSantis had a 15-point lead over Biden among the 50-64 age group, while Biden say a 4-point lead over DeSantis among those 65 and above.

You know the 40% for Biden is BS when the guy barely has a pulse. Now that I think about it… democrats get votes from cemeteries. Oh well…

I have to agree. Nine months ago I was an avid Trump/DeSantis advocate. Since DeSantis screwed the pooch, I’m following Vivek very closely. The guy has been all over the map making speeches and doing interviews delivering a fantastic message for what is good for America.. He’s WORKING for the nomination. None of the other players are.

Tony Fabrizio is a terrible pollster with a bad track record.

Is that why Trump hired him?

You seem shook (definition below in case you’re confused). Don’t tell me you think he’s a girl? Are you transgendered? That’s the only explanation for you to going off the deep end calling trump a guy.

Shook is the past tense form of shake, used as a slang term to describe feelings ranging from discombobulation and fear to rage and elation, kind of like “all shaken up.”

Such predictable replies.

This poll does point out what I’ve been saying for awhile, that a lot of independent and right-leaning women don’t like Trump and are looking for an alternative.

“…and who knows how many more indictments, lawsuits, court cases, and all for Trump.”

Yeah that’s the ticket. Let’s get someone in there whom the demons will like and leave alone…

Poling does not matter. Ballots do.

He who prints and collates the most ballots wins.

Bingo. Polls this early are used to pick the nominee by steering support

Funny, another poll came out the exact same time with Trump beating Rutabaga by several. As I recall, 5, DeSoros losing to Rutabaga by several.

neither will win against the democrat machine supported by federal dollars. biden has raised almost no money. however, he has the entire federal bureaucracy plus federally funded non profits working to get him re elected. that on top of democrat control of the voting process in all the swing states, plus control of the post office plus 7 million or so new guest voters from south of the border.

Pubs could still win but they’d have to get 20 million or so more votes than they got last time to keep the election out of the steal range

Actually many donations come with strings attached. Candidates are usually required to hire the donor’s preferred consultants and pollsters. Whether Trump was required to do that I couldn’t say for sure.

Either way, Tony Fabrizio’s polls have been way off the last three election cycles.

It’s not a Newsweek poll. Please re-read. It’s from a Trump-aligned pollster.

It’s probably too early to have any significance, though.
