Failing the New York State teachers’ exam really paid off — especially for a Queens man who learned this month he’s getting a $2 million windfall over it.
Roughly 5,200 black and Hispanic ex-Big Apple teachers and once-aspiring educators are expected to collect more than $1.8 billion in judgments after the city stopped fighting a nearly three-decade federal discrimination lawsuit that found a certification exam was biased.
It’s the largest legal payout in city history.
Court rulings found the exam violated civil-rights laws, allowing far more white candidates to pass.

One Brooklyn principal said the city was “crazy” to settle the case.
“The standards are the standards,” he said. “It shouldn’t be based on what would be easy for blacks or whites. To hire people who are not qualified and change the requirements because a certain group didn‘t pass the test is bulls–t.”
More than 90% of white test-takers passed the 80-question multiple-choice and essay Liberal Arts and Sciences Test between March 1993 and June 1995 — one version of which had questions such as asking teachers to explain the meaning of a painting by pop artist Andy Warhol.
But black applicants on average scored passing grades only 53% of the time, and Latinos had an even lower passing rate, just 50%, according to the lawsuit.

That’s OK. New Yorkers can afford it. Combine it with some reparations payments and these victims will be able to purchase some white slaves.
A “racist” test used to mean asking questions about snow to southern blacks, but that doesn’t work in NYC. So they can find “systemic racism” in every single question. It’s right there in the shadows and penumbras.
Do WHITES & ASIANS who failed the test also get rewarded for being STUPID AND/OR IGNORANT? Or are they SOL?

The Praxis tests to obtain teacher certification in most States are difficult if one is not prepared. Twenty-two years ago, when I took mine, there were three. Math, writing, and reading comprehension.
I remember being a nervous wreck that Saturday of the test, but ended up doing very well. It surprised me over the years how many failed them, and had to re-take them several times. Some were never able to pass and become teachers. I anticipate that sometime, perhaps in the near future, those tests will be completely eliminated in order to please those running public education, prioritizing diversity over merit.

Andy Warhol paintings have no meaning whatsoever other than as proof that “art experts” are idiots.

I don’t know if I could fail that exam even if I was drunk off my ass. I’d pass all 3 exams I was looking at. These losers (winners) will all be broke again. At least they can go on not teaching any kids anything.
When you reward failure you get more failure.

I’m getting sick of these mega-million lawsuits which are metastasizing like a horrible cancer. Hundred+ million lawsuits are now routine, and often awarded in a politically and racially biased manner.
