Biden forgives $39 BILLION in student debt for 804,000 Americans: White House goes around Supreme Court ruling to give handout to borrowers who have been paying for 20 years

President Joe Biden will forgive $39 billion in student debt for 804,000 Americans - two weeks after the Supreme Court struck down his $430 billion relief plan because it was unconstitutional.

The president has continued his push to wipe billions in student debt, despite anger from taxpayers and Americans who have never been to college.

The landmark Supreme Court decision dealt his plan a huge blow, but the White House has vowed to plow ahead to get widespread relief.

Critics slammed the 'absurd' announcement and called it a 'slap in the face to taxpayers'.

David Williams, President of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance, told DailyMail.com: 'This new announcement is absurd and is a slap in the face to taxpayers.

'The Biden administration is hell bent on recklessly spending hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars bailing out wealthy student loan borrowers, even after being rebuked by the country’s highest court.

'More than 80 percent of the country that doesn’t have student loans will be forced to subsidize the small percentage of Americans that do have loans. And, once again, the Biden administration is circumventing Congress.

Jimmy Carter can die now, knowing he’s not the worst President ever.

Oh boy! That’s going to piss off 90/10. Way to go Brantoon!

Yes it is. Those youngsters who thought they were gonna be included won't be voting for him.

Plus, there's a good chance that someone who's been faithfully paying their loan is probably conservative. Ha.

Since all the physical means of enforcement are in the executive branch, they can do whatever they want.

the 2nd the government took over all student loans, I knew this would happen. The same way as when the federal government took over airport security.

The law:
You are not authorized to jump over the fence.

Respecting the law:

You do not cross over to the other side of the fence.

The progressive:

- burrows under the fence
- flies over the fence
- builds a ramp over the fence
- tears down the fence
- sets a deception: bonfire, points to that, jumps anyway

Yes sir-ree! And the million dollar murderous scream will be , "What about us folks entering college?"

We scripted and saved for 30 years to put all 3 kids through college. No vacations, eating out, ordering food, new vehicles, etc..... Tuition and expenses cost X. We paid X.

Still illegal.

It was illegal when Andrew Jackson did it. But it didn't stop him.

Biden isn’t spending hundreds of billions. he’s BUYING votes from the indoctrinated. and WHAT, exactly will the slighted taxpayers do about it? they will vote for dummy and cackles again because they aren’t TRUMP. meet the new boss, not the same as the old boss. “the people get what the people vote for. then they suffer the consequences”.

This is a legal tweak of an existing program Obama put in place called public service loan forgiveness. Nothing new.

After 10 years of making payments and 10 years of working for a nonprofit or govt organization, the remaining balance is written off.

Congress approved this years ago. What Biden did is just expand it a bit (allowing $0 payments during the pandemic to “count” as a payment) and crow about it. This has nothing to do with his illegal “debt relief” which was $10-20k off with no congressional consent.

I want to know is this deal retroactive? My wife and I had student loans back in the 80’s. We paid them off. Does this mean my wife and I are going to get checks from Joe? I doubt it. You borrowed the money, pay it back!
