Anheuser-Busch: Buy Bud Light, or We'll Fire Some Idiot Peasants Like You
PJ Media ^ | 12 July 2023 | Robert Spencer

The dethroned king of beers has fallen on hard times. Its short-lived dalliance with fake woman Dylan Mulvaney and implicit endorsement of the Left’s efforts to force us all to accept the trans madness has not only cost Bud Light its position as America’s top-selling beer, but the Drag Queen of beers isn’t even in the top ten anymore. Bud Light is now the 14th-best-selling beer in the United States, and fairly soon, Anheuser-Busch executives will look back fondly at the days when it was as high as 14th place.

The financial news site Benzinga reported Monday that “a recent YouGov survey reveals the decline in Bud Light’s ranking, casting it below competitors like Pabst Bue [sic] Ribbon, Miller Genuine Draft, and Miller Lite.” In a telling indication that Anheuser-Busch and its friends are now pulling out all the stops to save their former flagship brand, Benzinga notes slyly that the grassroots boycott that has led to the unprecedented consumer abandonment of Bud Light is hurting the common man: “This seismic shift in popularity jeopardizes the livelihoods of the 65,000 people whose economic well-being is intricately tied to Anheuser-Busch InBev’s success.”

The upshot of this is that now apparently Anheuser-Busch and Benzinga want us to join Ted Lieu and Adam Schiff in quaffing Bud Light because if we don’t, some people who aren’t woke ideologues or trans exhibitionists will suffer. And yeah, that’s a real pity, but it’s hardly a positive or inspiring marketing come-on. It does, however, look as if Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth is going with it. He has said of the boycott and sales drop that “it’s the impact honestly on the employees that weighs the most on me.”

When someone uses the word “honestly” in that way, it’s usually because he isn’t being honest....

Yep. It’s Dead Jim.

It occurred to me-how many sports venues have contracts for specified quantitaties of Bud Light per year, have signage up everywhere, in the very places where the customer base they depend on has been deliberately insulted and repelled at the same time to the point it has made Bud Light unsaleable.

I don’t know how it works, but I feel certain there must be a contract to get a certain amount of beer at a lower price for that guarantee. Now that nobody who sees a football game wants to have a “Queer Beer” in their hand due to the stupidity and ignorance of the manufacturer, could places terminate their contracts?

Granted, many of these sports venues are all onboard with the LBGTQXANMFUDCOWEKYO agenda, so...they might not be worried about that.

One would think they want to make money.

Factually incorrect about the sales ranking of Bud Light. Still one of the top in sales. That number about dropping out of the top 10 is not a sales number, but polling about beer popularity. I think they dropped from 8 or 9 to 14. It’s kind of meaningless though.

I don’t like it when we have such errors that the left can pounce on.

They certainly are pushing the narrative: “Buy Bud Lite, or families like yours will starve.”

Between this and their patronizing commercials, they must really think we are idiots. Consumers pick and choose what they like at the store. This isn’t the old Soviet Union. We buy the brands we want. Yes, it affects the bottom line. How many different ways are they going to find to whine about their self-induced lost sales? They have a real entitlement problem.

Having to find a new job isn’t easy but this didn’t happen in a vacuum. Stores close all the time and layoff workers, Biden shut down the pipeline jobs, the My Pillow guy got run out of Walmart, etc. There are no job guarantees. InBev needs to man up and quit whining.

Bud light is a trash beer that competed on price alone. It didn't really have an official "image" (and didn't need one).

If it had been a quality product, very likely the controversy would eventually blow over.

Communistic compelled behavior meets American leisure time behavior.

Blackrock, ESG/DEI and a CIA-directed company try to dictate values and behavior to Americans in their off-time activities -and have them pay for it!

The abject depravity and ignorance of these communists is for all to witness.

People, don’t buy Modelo either. It is also owned by Tranheiser-Busch InBev.

Whitworth should step aside. After all, he's the one steering the ship and has tanked the product in only 2 years at the helm.

Budweiser also has to consider that consumers who stopped drinking Bud Lite have likely discovered other better tasting beers. IMHO Bud Lite was nasty stuff and even venerable old Pabst was a vast improvement. It is interesting that the 1# selling beer in the US these days is Mexican import Modelo. Consumers, particularly younger consumers, are also likely trying regional and craft brews and discovering a whole new world of beers. Bud Lite is likely to continue its slide to oblivion and no amount of slick advertising is going to save it.
