he auto industry is beginning to crank out more electric vehicles (EVs), but there's one big problem: not enough buyers.
Why it matters: The growing mismatch between EV supply and demand is a sign that even though consumers are showing more interest in EVs, they're still wary about purchasing one because of price or charging concerns.

I’ll give’em 50 bucks...
Some say that a rechargeable battery is a very high capacitance electrolytic capacitor.
Then again, a gasoline internal combustion engine delivers much more convenience without the complexity. I will never buy an EV.
EVs are such a good idea they have to be mandated!
Uh....
Belueve diesel electric is used for high torque low RPM (speed application)
Just said they might be a good choice for some people under certain circumstances.
Besides, the typical Tesla driver is affluent and probably not concerned with cost all that much.
What we both agree on is that the government should butt out and let the market decide.
If I had ANY interest in owning an EV, it would be more than I’ve ever had before. The price makes it totally impossible for me to own one, & the the potential difficulties completely destroy any other interest in one.
“Just said they might be a good choice for some people under certain circumstances.”
People say that, but is comes across as propaganda since no one can say under what circumstances.
they have been around for a LONG time.

I stated the circumstances I would accept earlier. A second car that a household can use for commuting and around-town errands.
Personally, I would never consider an EV as a primary vehicle. However, everybody needs to consider those circumstances for theirselves.
Stupid phone.......stupider operator 😏
EV’s are a solution that does not work for a problem that does not exist.
“A second car that a household can use for commuting and around-town errands.”
That doesn’t describe the circumstances, just a use. How is an EV better in that use case than a gas car?
Again, this sounds like liberal propaganda. “Don’t worry, just do it. It’s better.”
Couple of weeks ago here a guy had a lithium battery golf cart catch fire in his garage and burned his house pretty much completely down......just a golf cart.....and they think I’m gonna park an EV in my garage that may or may not do the same?
I wouldn’t take one of they GAVE it to me.....and I don’t care what make or model either. Not no but HELL no.
I remember these on care lots back in 1976. Never saw one being driven on the streets.

The EVs have been around long enough to start seeing all the problems. Replacement battery horror stories, accident horror stories, charging horror stories, etc.
No worries, Uncle Joe will toss out some new subsidy incentives if needed!

People are interested enough to find out that they don’t want them. The many problems are becoming known now. The lack of charging stations is not the biggest problem by far. Of course the children at Axios would focus on that one because it means more Government spending Meanwhile creepy joe is using the government to regulate ICE cars off the roads
It’s all working according to the centralized committee’s current 10-year plan, comrades!
