GOP Is Leaning Into Moderate, Experienced Senate Candidates In 2024 To Avoid Another Failed Red Wave, Experts Say

Republicans are looking to recruit moderate and experienced candidates for Senate races in 2024 to avoid a repeat of losses in the 2022 midterms, GOP campaign experts and conservative commentators told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), the GOP’s campaign arm responsible for Senate elections, is looking to place moderate nominees with elected experience in competitive races, experts told the DCNF. An emphasis on electability offered by experienced candidates, they said, is essential to winning — unlike novice candidates subscribing to former President Donald Trump’s brand of populism. (RELATED: In Blow To GOP, Rep. Mike Gallagher Decides Against Senate Run)

In the 2022 midterm elections, Trump’s endorsement helped several populist candidates in Arizona, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Georgia win primary races over moderate candidates. All of them went on to lose their elections, which observers ascribed to their Trump-style views that were unpalatable to general election voters, with a “red wave” failing to materialize.

The concern has led to “electability” as being a top priority for candidates endorsed by the NRSC. A spokesperson for Republican Sen. Steve Daines of Montana, the NRSC’s chairman, told the DCNF that his “number one priority is recruiting candidates who can win a primary and a general election.”

"Republicans are looking to recruit moderate and experienced candidates for Senate races in 2024..."

They mean pro-abortion candidates.

Embrace the death-cult - that'll get your numbers up....

RE: [We must be] nominating candidates who can win … Senate seats are too important to throw away,”
/////////////////////////////////////////////////

As the Richard Pryor character said to the Gene Wilder one in the movie Stir Crazy:

Wilder: “So this means we are totally innocent men, framed, falsely convicted in a trial and now actually being put behind bars in a maximum security prison unfairly.”

Pryor: Yes. Welcome to the real world. and not a moment too soon.

Let’s home the GOP has some sense of urgency and seriousness. We have to win.

When a sports team fails, one of the first things that is done is to fire the management. This is what should happen to the failed leadership of the Republican Party.

Translation: After sabotaging MAGA and conservative candidates in 2022, the establishment wants only its own running in 2024.

Because of Democrat voter fraud.

Exactly. Both actual voter/ballot fraud and outright criminal computer election fraud by actually inserting tens of thousands of fake voters on election day, voting them Democrat, then removing those voters an hour or so later.

They need Never/Anti Trumpers to reduce the damage that a Trump election would cause to the GOPee.

Establishment RINO’s won’t back or fund the candidates the people chose. Correct. Neither do the dimrats.

The parties pick their candidates, not us anymore.

So the GOPE will pick someone that they think will be palatable to the media and the dims will pick someone that they can push around and use as a sock puppet.

Either way, we the people lose.

Leaning Into

"Leaning into" is such a dumb word coupling, but the media sure loves to use it.

“AND because the establishment RINO’s wouldn’t back or fund the candidates the people chose.”
Ding Ding Ding! The most relevant post on this thread.
RINO GOPe deny the people’s candidates any financial support and when they lose crow loudly to the MSM see, those MAGA candidates cannot win!!! We told you so!!!
This is the method they use when we do not elect Swamp Creatures. Don’t elect our guy in a primary. Fine. There will be no funding for the person you plebes choose. Period.

“Dominion selects our Government now, Donchaknow?”

When Chavez was elected in Venezuela the Wash Post ran an article that Dominion voting machines stole that election.

Since then, they crawled back in bed and put the covers over their heads.

If that were the case Deep State wouldn’t have to steal elections.

Deep State has to steal elections because too many Dems, women, and people of color are no longer voting Deep State.
