Democrats pose as the champions of democracy—except when democracy doesn’t go their way. After 84% of parents in a Virginia county rejected co-ed sex education and gender ideology in schools, the taxpayer-funded school board dismissively announced that “the majority doesn’t always dictate.”
Fairfax County has been a hotspot of crazy LGBTQ ideology and persecution of concerned parents for quite a while now. Woke or authoritarian nonsense from Fairfax schools includes making false statements about a dress-wearing boy who raped a girl in a school bathroom (before trying to get the victim’s father jailed), pushing pornographic books to kids, and suspending maskless students despite Virginia’s governor having lifted COVID-19 restrictions.
Despite being paid by taxpayer funds and thus being employees of the district’s parents, the school board has rejected poll results showing that parents in the county overwhelmingly reject gender ideology in schools and combining sex education for boys and girls from fourth grade onwards.
The Washington Examiner reported on the Fairfax County Public School board‘s outrageous reaction to parents’ opinions and details of the survey:
In a work session, the Fairfax county school board was presented with a poll showing 84% of parents are against children being taught “Family Life Education” together. It showed, out of the 2,656 respondents, parents overwhelmingly want classes separated by gender.
While students are currently separated based on sex, that could change with the new proposal. It would require co-ed sex education from fourth grade up.
Parents wrote overwhelmingly in the open-ended comments part of the survey that they were against teaching gender ideology in schools.
The county’s school superintendent, Michelle Reid, dismissed the survey’s results with the ridiculous remark: “Honestly, the majority doesn’t always dictate, right?” It does when they’re taxpayers and you’re their employee, Michelle.

This defiance of the citizens is known as Fairfax Fascism!
It used to be a great county to live in. Then the fascist mentality Democrats took-over and it went to Hell. Soros money helped put the legal handcuffs on its citizens until the recent parents revolt.
As Emiril would say, “It’s time to kick the revolt up a notch or two”.

31. Any source information about the BE A hiring Alinsky in 1971. This is very important to know as the Communists of all stripes, especially the CPUSA and the SWP (Trotskyist Socialist Workers ) Party made major efforts to get their members into the school system as teachers and administrators.
I helped my US Representative investigate this phenomenon re the DC school system which was run by a bunch of Michigan-origin Marxists (Bill Simon and his aides) and SWP as teachers union leaders - Eric Martel his SWPers).
The lead investigator of this effort to expose them was one of the IRS agents who nailed Al Capone, named Yates. He was cool.
We had some success in exposing this communist penetration of the DC school system but it was derailed by other issues.
I agree, they’re pond scum. And I say that with no disrespect meant to regular pond scum.
However, at some point, parents have to take action. There remain waaaay too many kids being subjected to this philosophical game of tether ball.
The best efforts of the Marxists to indoctrinate students into this idealogy has only yielded 16%. Just one more reason that the Democrat Party is now losing the cultural wars; their very ranks are turning against them.
Actually, the Federal Government pays per seat per child enrolled to the tune of around 8K annually. Missing kids strave the dragon.
How many of them of them are LGBTrans? Probably 90% simply because the Minor Attracted Adults seek out professions to gain access to the young. It is pedifiles who push the hardest for this stuff - The Sound of Freedom really drives home the point that these vile people are everywhere, and they will do damn near anything to other people.
No, I came across that little td bit of information while researching an article that Ihad written on about the teachers’union. We were living in Orange County , CA at the tie and I had read an article in the LA Times that defined a professional as one who pursued a career which necessitated a university education and put public service above financial remuneration. The article was about lawyers, I was thinking about teachers. Saul Alinsky changed the goal of the NEA from educating each child to the best of their ability to teacher pay and tenure. The quality of public education has been in decline ever since. Alinsky died the next year, I think.
That is EXACTLY what I was thinking.
Then their contention is that the minority should.
That is not acceptable either.
