And while slavery did exist in the Colony it was mostly of indentured English and Irish rather than Africans.

We never had slaves in California or Jim Crow laws. We got it from Mexico in a war (and paid for it) Most native peoples side with Mexico in the war. If anyone took the land—it was Spain. Get your history right.
