Enslaved Africans who were sold as slaves by other Africans rather than butchered in a tribal war . . .
Slavery isn't nice, but liberals want to enslave us all. Or have us butchered if we won't yield to them. So how are they morally superior to the slave traders?

we must remember that we stand on stolen land toiled by enslaved Africans Actually not up here, the Maine farmers worked their own farms. In fact many of them left their farms to go to the South and free the slaves.
Many never came back.
Maine was one of the main, if not the largest contributor of troops to the Civil War effort.
