The Supreme Court has struck down President Joe Biden's $400 billion student loans forgiveness plan in another bombshell decision.
The justices ruled 6-3 against Biden's controversial plan to wipe out debts for around 20 million Americans, which the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked in October.

Now, it's $90,000 x 4, and nobody is paying their way through that.It's the government loan scheme, whereby students can borrow huge, unsecured debt, which has made easy money for the schools. They can raise prices with impunity because the consequences are in that student loan can, which is continually kicked down the road.

If you chose a worthless major leading to a low-paying, dead-end career, There is the heart of the problem.
One who wishes to take out a car loan, or a home mortgage, or open a credit card, must demonstrate to the lender that he is able to repay the loan. His interest rate is inversely related to his credit score for obvious reasons.
One's eligibility for a student loan should similarly be tied to the probability of repaying it. Some courses of study lead to a higher probability of repayment than others.
A "feminist race sexual-preference grievance studies" student should not be given a student loan. Ever.

Also, Doctors can now make $500k/year, much more than 40 years agoGetting into Orthopaedic Surgery residency is very competitive.
Most doctors do not make $500 000, and the ones that do start their careers at age 32-24.
Starting at 34 with a debt of $360 000+ is absurd.
