Ketanji Brown Jackson accuses Clarence Thomas of having 'an obsession with race consciousness' and relying on 'many more straw men' than can be listed in his affirmative action opinion

The United States Supreme Court struck down affirmative action in college admissions in a 6-3 decision on Thursday, blocking higher educational institutions from considering race in admissions decisions.

The centrality of race to the case prompted a war of words between the Court's two Black justices in their respective opinions, with each offering starkly different views of the role that race should play in decision-making by policymakers writ large.

In his own 57 page long concurring opinion, Associate Justice Clarence Thomas — a staunch conservative appointed by Republican President George H.W. Bush — argued that "all forms of discrimination based on race — including so-called affirmative action" are prohibited under the US Constitution, offering a full-throated defense "colorblindness" in the founding document.

Jackson's own 29-page dissent is dedicated to explaining the "universal benefits of considering race" in higher education, arguing that such considerations are important due to the "intergenerational transmission of inequality" that originated with slavery and continued through subsequent government policies in the decades since then.

"Given our history, the origin of persistent race-linked gaps should be no mystery," Jackson wrote. "History speaks. In some form, it can be heard forever. The race-based gaps that first developed centuries ago are echoes from the past that still exist today. By all accounts, they are still stark."

So, when it is proven that the election was stolen for Biden, does she get to keep her job?

Ketanji is decended from a pygmy tribe of cannibals. Additionally she doesn’t know what a woman is.

No wonder.

How dare she, a brand new judge, publicly do this to Thomas, a man of dignity, class, and experience. She’s an example of why AA should never have been.

She [Ketanji Brown Jackson] has to know she's on the court because she checks two boxes.

Ketanji Brown Jackson said during her nomination hearings that she didn't know what a woman is, citing that she's not a biologist. Either she's an absolute liar, or she's so dumb she doesn't even know what she is.

This citizens of this country were owed another question of her; if she knew what race is. She needs to be censured until she can answer both of those questions.

“universal benefits of considering race”

I think I can live without my share of those "universal benefits."

Thomas Slammed her to the mat in his concurrence. It was a great bit of writing. Excerpt from Justice Thomas' Concurrance on today's opinion regarding college admission discrimination... The solution to our Nation’s racial problems thus cannot come from policies grounded in affirmative action or some other conception of equity. Racialism simply cannot be undone by different or more racialism. Instead, the solution announced in the second founding is incorporated in our Constitution: that we are all equal, and should be treated equally before the law without regard to our race. Only that promise can allow us to look past our differing skin colors and identities and see each other for what we truly are: individuals with unique thoughts, perspectives, and goals, but with equal dignity and equal rights under the law.

JUSTICE JACKSON has a different view. Rather than focusing on individuals as individuals, her dissent focuses on the historical subjugation of black Americans, invoking statistical racial gaps to argue in favor of defining and categorizing individuals by their race. As she sees things, we are all inexorably trapped in a fundamentally racist society, with the original sin of slavery and the historical subjugation of black Americans still determining our lives today. Post, at 1–26 (dissenting opinion). The panacea, she counsels, is to unquestioningly accede to the view of elite experts and reallocate society’s riches by racial means as necessary to “level the playing field,” all as judged by racial metrics. Post, at 26. I strongly disagree.

Take that bitch!

How does she know what race is? Is she a geneticist?

How does she know what history is? Is she a historian?

“Jackson’s own 29-page dissent is dedicated to explaining the “universal benefits of considering race.”

It’s not her job to consider “benefits”. Her job is to determine is something is compatible with the Constitution or not. That’s it.

This idiotic “dissent” is grounds for impeachment and removal from SCOTUS.

Jackson conflates them as necessary to get a desired outcome, without regard to Equal Protection.

True!

In addition, liberal judges like Jackson ignore the letter and spirit of the Constitution when it doesn't suit their worldview. If the Constitution is merely a 'suggestion', it becomes meaningless - which is precisely what liberal judges have made it.
