Over 3,000 were already canceled or delayed by midday Wednesday, as the spate of severe weather battering the Northeast continued to impact major airlines.

As of noon Wednesday, 799 flights within, into, or out of the US had been axed in addition to 2,457 delays, according to FlightAware.

United Airlines was the worst hit, with 379 total cancellations and over 400 delays.

JetBlue was also struggling with over 200 delays before 8 a.m. ET, Fox News Business said.

A spokesperson for United told the outlet that the ongoing cancellations and delays were due to severe weather in the Northeast.

This morning (at about 10AM) it was 41°F at my house.

We're near the end of June. Midsummer.

NYC hit 107° On July 3, 1966, the thermometer at the La Guardia Airport weather station climbed to 107 degrees.

July 3, 2023 occurs just five days from today.

Here's a link to the above-referenced NYT article, which seems to be accessible without going through a paywall:

Weather channel is the worst. Every time there is a thunderstorm they will say “COULD BE SEVERE WEATHER IN YOUR AREA! MARGINAL CHANCE OF SERVERE WEATHER! they love the fear porn

Yeah.

I mean why the euphemism?

Rain? Snow? Wind?

Why the mystery of “severe weather”?

I just looked at radar for that area & see some weather but nothing “battering”. It’s 11:44 CST my time.

Are they going to give every thunderstorm a name?

How about giving every cloud a name?

It is literally POURING right now as I type this in Nashua, NH.
Third day in a row with heavy thunderstorms.

The brook across from my house has been running heavier than it did during spring snow melt. I think yuou could kayak it right now. It is about 15-20’ wide.

My lawn is growing like crazy. It needs to be mowed every 3 or 4 days to keep up. When it is not raining it is 90% humidity. Yuk

If the bad weather caused by transportation shuts down transportation which causes bad weather, then the bad weather should stop if we stop the airplanes

Is Mr. Buttplug going to make a statement?

The United Airlines CEO blamed the FAA and Buttegeig. Buttegeig seems to be having massive problems, like most in this administration.

My niece and her husband got caught in this. They landed at Newark from a starting point of Sydney Australia and got stuck there since the last leg of the trip to Toronto was cancelled. Their mothers are driving down there right now to pick them up.

The Sodomites won't be happy until it is raining fire and brimstone.

Then, they will blame it on 'climate change'

Plant clover. It doesn't grow nearly as fast as grass.

Every fall, I cuts plugs of clover from the clover thick part of my lawn and plant them in the grassy part.

Once the clover is thick enough, one mowing every three weeks works fine.
