New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a bill Sunday to protect access to transition-related medical care for transgender minors as an increasing number of states consider and pass restrictions on such care.
The new measure bars state courts from enforcing the laws of other states that might authorize a child to be taken away if the parents provide gender-affirming medical care, including puberty blockers and hormone therapy. It also prohibits New York courts from considering transition-related care for minors as child abuse unless it would actually constitute abuse as defined under state law. And it bars state and local authorities from cooperating with out-of-state agencies regarding the provision of lawful gender-affirming care in New York.
Hochul, who signed the bill ahead of the annual New York City Pride March, said that the state’s residents have “been on the forefront of the fight for equal rights,” from GENDA, a law passed in 1945 that is considered the first human rights law in the country, to the 1969 Stonewall uprising, which is widely considered a major turning point in the modern gay rights movement.
“As the birthplace of the modern movement for LGBTQ+ rights, New York is proud to protect, defend and affirm our LGBTQ+ community,” Hochul, a Democrat, said in a statement. “Now, as other states target LGBTQ+ people with bigotry and fearmongering, New York is fighting back. These new laws will enshrine our state as a beacon of hope, a safe haven for trans youth and their families, and ensure we continue to lead the nation on LGBTQ+ rights.”

The city nearest us (we live on a small farm) has a population of about 200,000. The city counsel, having already made it a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants and the homeless now want to make it a sanctuary city for children who want to transition. Our state has outlawed such procedures. Strange times.
Call it what it is: the “Making our Kids into Eunuchs Act of 2023”.

Are there any sanctuaries for children who don’t want to be drugged or sexually mutilated?
So, when the consensus of the medical community shifts (according to ‘the science,’ of course) and it is determined that hormone blockers and ‘gender affirming’ surgery should not be provided to minors, what is the liability of the state as an enabler/advocate for the out of state children and those in-state cases where parental custody/concerns were overruled?
Claiming “sovereign immunity” seems a stretch.
Where is a safe haven for decent, law abiding, God believing, hard working taxpaying Americans?

My governor wants to make our entire state a sanctuary state for Munchasen by proxy parents and their confused offspring. Never mind that California has 12% of America's total population but 30% of its homeless population precisely because we don't have enough housing for the people we've got, let alone all these fake refugees. Where does Newscum intend to put them? I'd say the governor's mansion looks like the ideal location.
Remember folks that the parents that support these things being done to their children for the most part have only one child.
These parents will never have grandchildren or great grandchildren.
Their family line ends with them because their children will likely proceed them in death.
