Let’s be real, the “we the people” crowd is the only group in this country truly rooting for President Trump. When it comes to politicians, media, and corporations, it’s all about the ABT — “Anybody But Trump” agenda, which the RNC is currently rolling out with quite a bang. The first debate moderators have just been announced, and they could practically serve as presidents of the ABT fan club. Struggling Fox News will host the debate, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum at the helm — the same disastrous duo who made that premature call for Arizona on election night 2020. Surely everyone will love to relive that moment, right? Honestly, you can practically hear the collective groans of dissatisfaction. Why not have Tucker Carlson host the debate? He represents the “average American” and is wildly popular. Well, the reason that will never happen is because Tucker is truly fair and he’s not a card-carrying member of the ABT club.
Who can forget the first debate of the 2020 election, when another ABT member hosted the festivities. It got so ridiculous that President Trump had to debate host Chris Wallace, who was literally lugging Joe Biden across the finish line. Chris also ran interference on the Hunter Biden laptop from hell, not allowing Trump to even discuss it.

The RNC will never see another dollar from me.
I will vote for whom I please and not answer any poll that they send me because of my being registered as a Republican.
I’m not alone in this stance.
RNC, “You ain’t gonna get a penny more from me.”
Suffer your losses with class and screw Paul Ryan!
I notice conservative Catholics here are if you scratch the surface a bit light on culture war outside abortion
Especially anything ethnic
How do fit into that livius?
I despise that scum Paul Ryan even more than I despise Romney! Two loser lovers hell bent on destroying our Republic.
I agree with you, let all the losers have a loser circle jerk on a loser tv network. I am done with all that malarkey. Go Trump or go home!
Does anybody have a link where I can donate money directly to Trumps campaign and by passing the RNC?
Not fair, of course, but persuasive to the low info voters.
Add the above to the unnecessary, childish insults to those who he needs as allies, but now hate him so much they want him to lose.
All Trump's doing, he's is own worst enemy, and he is completely unable to win the general election this time.
You had a couple of “needs” in your post and I don’t not agree. But with the way he has been hamstrung since 2015 forward and only able to fight back, even with his own party, is when he had the final say and ability to direct the action.
On a level playing field, he would pick them apart. But it won’t be a level playing field and even the left can learn what to do when he starts to take control just like has been done in the past to cut him off. They will interrupt his answers, cut him short, and MIS Summarize his answers putting words in his mouth and cutting his mike. I’m even willing to bet they would try the same thing they did to Bush in his debates with Gore when they had Gore’s body appear bigger on screen than Bush’s body mass. They will stop at nothing.
You have the right idea, but I am not as trusting in that the debate won’t be turned into a hit piece. And at this point, the libs don’t even have an idea who they actually want to run. They just want to scuttle Trump any way they can. And screwing him in front of a national audience is exactly what they would love to do.

“Fox debate night would be a great time for Trump to hold a rally.”
I’ll bet he gets a bigger audience.

I agree. Been sending "take me off your mailing list" letters for years. Told them I give my money directly to the candidate of my choice.
The GOP house is dirty like the rat house.
The Establishment GOP knows their place, all the time.
Playing the Washington Generals to make the Harlem Globetrotters look good.
The charade continues.

Rona needs to be hung
{;^) - Please think of those "needs" simply as mechanical requirements of a successful campaign.

Quite right, I think a "hit piece" is exactly what the left will attempt and IMO be exactly what Trump would wish to use to his benefit. (At least if after the screwing they allow him even just a final one-sentence conclusion - one can easily imagine what it would be.)
Primarily, such an overt attempt to screw Trump in front of the entire nation will provide a dramatic opportunity for him to further demonstrate his capability to effectively face off with powerful opponents.
Perhaps more importantly, the debate no matter how rude and unbalanced could well provide an excellent opportunity to underscore for undecided voters the immediate domestic and international threats our nation faces.
Have a nice Sunday!

That is if those immediate problems are identified by someone other than Trump. They clipped his answers before when he got off their targeted topic and made sure those problems were not part of the agenda they wanted identified. At this point, I don’t think Fox is going to be any better than CNN and will do the same thing. So those problems may never get past his mind and he could identify them just as well on the campaign trail where he won’t be hindered with the topic. And they will make it a point to allow other candidates to hammer him for it.
He wouldn’t have a chance in that media.
Have a nice Sunday back at ya and it’s refreshing to find someone using weekend time to research and talk about things.
