The armed munity on the Kremlin led by mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin highlights Russia’s “full-scale weakness,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday,, adding “no lie can hide” the “chaos” inside the country.

“Russia’s weakness is obvious. Full-scale weakness,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter. “And the longer Russia keeps its troops and mercenaries on our land, the more chaos, pain, and problems it will have for itself later.”

“So zelensky is winning now?”

Seems like it. We may be at the end game as far as Ukraine is concerned. No matter how the Prigozhin thing turns out, Russia has taken a massive hit.

Too funny. The first coup I’ve seen with a president at 80% approval and not a SINGLE protest before it taking place.

Heck, the Jan 6th bunch had a better chance of overthrowing our government.

If Zelensky and Putin were removed, both countries would be better off.

Once it took more than 2 months Zelensky was winning. Eventually some aspect of Russia was going to get tired of bleeding for inches. The only questions were who, and how long would it take.

You guys are getting nervous, aren’t ya.

I sure would hate to be one of the Orc generals in Rostov. Do you think they’ve already been shot? I doubt they live to see Sunday.

Prigozhin isn’t just someone, but he commands one of the largest private armies inside Russia.

If he thinks that Putin needs to go away, this becomes a legit threat to Putin.

Civil war in a country that has nukes? Not common, that’s for sure.

Or maybe it is posturing for the moment that Putin kicks off this mortal coil?

Will be very interesting.

No matter how the Prigozhin thing turns out, Russia has taken a massive hit.

All wars have an element of propaganda. People who should know better buy into whatever that they want to believe immediately. Whatever has actually taken place is likely being completely misconstrued by both sides and is being used to hide something else.

The truth is typically less entertaining than this type of nonsense, but the chances that “Russia has taken a massive hit” are incredibly low. The Ukrainian counteroffensive thus far has been a complete multi-billion-dollar flop and actually worse. So now this ridiculous nonsense comes up.

Who knows what the Russians have under their hat, obviously someone is going to be taking a fall, and it is very unlikely to be Putin. We have all sorts of talk and almost no actual evidence which is the hallmark of propaganda. It just keeps getting thicker all the time from both sides. Obviously, instead of getting credit for whatever they have accomplished the Wagner Group is going to now end up with a change in leadership and an even more tarnished image.

“You guys are getting nervous, aren’t ya.”

I wish Wagner the best of luck fighting the Russian military, since they won’t be getting any help with their effort.

That “80% approval” was obviously propaganda.

Plus not a SINGLE government official supporting this fake coup.

Do the Latin American military coups that used to happen with some regularity have support from within the government? That Egyptian coup a while back seemed to be extra-governmental. This is not a topic many of us are close to. Some of our Freepers who have been close to things in the less stable parts of Latin America may have insights.

I’ll wait until there’s some actual information before I’m convinced we’re all not being dragged.

Things went remarkably smoothly when the Soviet Union fell apart 30 years ago. A lot of lesser countries were formed from the soviet republics and they are somewhat unstable and insecure but they haven’t caused much trouble. In part, this is because Russia, and elements of the Russian military have helped keep a lid of trouble within the old republics.

If Russia is destabilized, there is a chance of widespread unrest across Asia. You know, some people thought it was a good idea when the Shah of Iran was overthrown (he was a Bad Guy). But we got stuck with decades of trouble in a destabilized Middle East. We might see such a thing again. But perhaps with nukes this time.

My bottom-line has always been that Ukraine (inside Russia or outside Russia) really doesn’t matter that much. But I think the Globalists have turned this into a fiasco where, win or lose, the world as a whole is going to suffer.

“That Egyptian coup a while back seemed to be extra-governmental.”

The last one was the Egyptian military overthrowing the government. No sign that the Russian military has lifted a finger in support.

Common sense dictates the Russians aren’t gonna let a hostile military force do what empires have failed to do in the past and roll right in to Moscow unopposed.
