During a portion of an interview with the Fox News Channel aired on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responded to questions on why he hired so many people who he has now criticized or have criticized him by stating the overwhelming majority of people he hired were good hires, he did hire the best people, and that he “didn’t know” Washington, but does now.

The Bush, Dole, McConnell, etc. types that dominate the Republican party are not fire-in-the-belly folks. They quickly become punching bags for the progs. The Roy, MTG, Boebert etc. types have yet to achieve power--and might never. So Trump, who thrives on the feud, is basically on his own... until some young turks gain prominence. I'm not holding my breath.

DJT is all I've got, at present, to take the fight to the rotters who are pulling this nation down into the slime. David Horowitz was born into communism and finally overcame it. He knows the absolute necessity of taking the fight to the left. That's why he supported Trump in 2016 and 2020.

Fighting hard is what Trump does better than any other Pub I've seen in the six decades I've spent watching national politics. Trump did better than any one else available in 2016 or 2020 could of have done. And, so far, he's still fighting hard.

If he was a real maverick he would have picked more people from the private sector.

That's assuming they'd give up working in the private sector. They all knew the economy would take off under Trump, why work in the public sector while that was happening, especially after eight years of Obamanomics.

They will do it to any Republican or Republican pick that isn’t a swamp creature. Honestly they would probably do it to them too.

Trump is basically admitting that he wasn’t prepared to be President in 2017. He has no ideological consistency as proved by his various picks to run different departments and his lack of character makes it easy for the left to set traps he willingly walks into.

Cruz and Walker had both proved they were up for the fight against the left and the “Only Trump Humping Cult” trashed them like they were Teddy Kennedy or Hillary Clinton. They are doing the same today with DeSantis. Open your eyes. Trump doesn’t walk on water and he isn’t the smartest man in the world.

If he gets another term, don’t think he will make those mistakes again.

You're right about that. This time around I expect him to be RUTHLESS and WITHOUT MERCY when he crosses paths with a "Deep Stater' or RINO.

And no m ore goldman sacks? But he also doesn’t understand the constitution so that can also be a problem. I knew he would have problems because he actually thot government people wanted to actually run the government instead of getting payoffs.

You stupid ass...You still won't admit you are too arrogant to be trusted to hire anyone. You are Satan's gift to the left, you orange dope.

Keep picking the above average looking holes with big breasts and the ass-kissers and backstabbers and the incompetent losers. Maybe OY! Jaaaaaaaared! and Me-vannnnnka will need you to pardon some more MAGA-hating rappers and schmendrickgonifputzschmuck Hassidics. Or did they get what they want and shun you?

This would be kind of hilarious, but WE are the ones who ultimately pay for your FAILURES.

But you won't win the election next time. Your FAILURE the first time assured the left will have PERMANENT control over the carcass of the Untied States of duh-murrica.

I have carefully reviewed my post. I don't see any mention of Trump being perfect etc., in my comments. I stated he was the best fighter, and I can assure you my eyes are wide open. When they observe a better candidate to deal with the likes of the Rat fire eaters, I'll react accordingly.

He also had to get nominees through McConnell’s 52 seat Senate. A Senate with John McCain, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski (not to mention Burr, Portman, etc.).

When solving problems, I have always kept two things in mind, KISS and start from the basics. Keep It Simple for the Stupid people, and insure that every document has an original signature. In this case, the problem is the difficulty of getting nominee for a major post through the Turtle. The simple solution is, don't give in to evil.

NOTHING in our Constitution says we MUST have a Senate confirmed nominee. So go with what you have, the acting agency head. Bring him in, vet him, if he hasn't or won't kiss the ring, fired on the spot. The next senior guy, by law, is now the the acting agency head. Repeat as needed, you may have to get 10 firings, maybe 100, but one will eventually find a senior member of the agency who has both read the Constitution and takes his oath seriously. Problem solved. Don't dive down rabbit holes and fall for misdirection, do what a man has to do. Do it at one agency they xerox as required at others.... I fail to see why there is a fuss over a non-problem. Screw the rich man's club, aka the Senate.

I know a Trump appointee and loyalist that took 3 years to get confirmed. Backstabbing McConnell picks sailed through.

Quotes:

Former White House chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, has told friends that President Donald Trump “is the most flawed person” he’s ever known.

“The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it’s more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life,” the retired Marine general has told friends, CNN has learned.

“Our country can’t ... be a therapy session for, you know, a troubled man like this”

“he constantly engages in reckless conduct that puts his political followers at risk and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk.”

Most of the Washington insider Republicans hated Trump when he took office. He really didn’t have a lot to work with. And also most of the hires were done at the behest of his corrupt first chief of staff, Reince Priebus.

Things are very different this time around. Even if some other Republican became president than Trump, he would use the same new MAGA infrastructure that has been developed.

He’s sounding downright delusional

He picked so many backstabbers it’s hard to count them - starting with Sessions.

Donald Trump Hires the Worst People

I hired top people.
I hire top, top people.
Open ended statements taken in one manner when they're
meant in another could lead to fatal assumptions.
The fault is upon you if you miss it.
Top people RINO's? Top people traitors? Top people corruptocrats?

Donald Trump only hires the best people (at generating unhelpful headlines)

I’m going to surround myself only with the best and most serious people," he told our Robert Costa in a phone interview at the time. "We want top of the line professionals." Criminals can be very serious, top of the line professionals and are especially serious about not getting caught for their criminality.
He knows the place better now, as he says.

Wouldn't you want to find the animals in the swamp before you drained it?

Do you want them to die or would it be better to be relocated...like to a jail cell...I mean a humane habitat. /sarcasm...just in case
