During a portion of an interview with the Fox News Channel aired on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responded to questions on why he hired so many people who he has now criticized or have criticized him by stating the overwhelming majority of people he hired were good hires, he did hire the best people, and that he “didn’t know” Washington, but does now.

Be fair, what were the realistic alternatives? And I mean people who were actually willing to take the arrows that came with the job?

Trump responded, “Because I hired 10:1 that were fantastic.” He also maintained the ratio of hires who still praise him to critics is 20:1.

Lol. If he has to say that, he must even doubt what he’s saying. He picked the worst group of people in history. No that is not exaggeration. So many he chose turned on him. He always said this guy is great. The best. And boom he leave and bashed trump. One or two are on them. Dozens it’s on trump. Doesn’t know Washington, he says? Well why did you run then?
Trump should break out the Boston phone book and randomly choose people next time around. Check that, pick from phone books from a bunch of conservative small towns in the middle of flyover country.
Several in the running have said they would fire Wray on day 1. Trump?
Pence and Barr? A little. Sessions, no. Sessions was one of the most solid conservatives in the Senate, at that time.
He personally picked that goon tillerson who he knew for decades. Tillerson ended up hating him.
If he was a real maverick he would have picked more people from the private sector. Why did we get all those swamp filth? Dumb.
But we did not cringe when he picked his SecDef. Most praised him on this site.
His hires were mostly terrible, but his candidate pool is smaller than it would be for conservatives like DeSantis since anyone who signs up with Trump knows there’s a fair chance that their professional relationship will end with a public blasting on social media.
