Trump: ‘I Did’ Hire the Best People and Most of My Hires Were Good, But ‘I Didn’t Know’ Washington Like I Do Now
Breitbart ^ | 06/19/2023 | Ian hatchett

During a portion of an interview with the Fox News Channel aired on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responded to questions on why he hired so many people who he has now criticized or have criticized him by stating the overwhelming majority of people he hired were good hires, he did hire the best people, and that he “didn’t know” Washington, but does now.

This is the #1 reason why I’m not supporting Trump in the primary. His record for hiring the worst crypto-swamp creatures who ended up stabbing him in the back is simply appalling.

Sessions belonged at DHS, not DOJ. Kris Kobach would never have recused himself as AG.

Well that makes no sense lol. He hired a bunch of back-stabbing swamp creatures because he didn’t realize how truly corrupt and criminal Washington is, yet he still had the country humming away like never before.....and that’s with the lousy hires AND the criminal activities of Obama/Clinton/Biden after him as well!

Heck, if he accomplished all that he did in spite of this, his second term should be a barn-burner!

This conversation needs to start with Mitch McConnell and those who Trump could pick that Mitch would have the Senate approve. That’s where much of the problem occurred.

I pick good people then I alienate them with my unpredictable often illegal behavior, they turn against me and then I turn the dogs on them.

“Lol. If he has to say that, he must even doubt what he’s saying. He picked the worst group of people in history. No that is not exaggeration. So many he chose turned on him. He always said this guy is great. The best. And boom he leave and bashed trump. One or two are on them. Dozens it’s on trump. Doesn’t know Washington, he says? Well why did you run then?”

You’re one of the biggest Trump hating clowns on here....just can’t help yourself can you? So....tell me....does Ron know DC? Based on who’s financing him and advising him I’d say he’s very comfortable in those circles. I bet you think that’s just peachy. Can you juggle too, or are you just a dancing clown?.

I'll repeat myself. This is about ADMINISTRATION. And it's a problem in Trump-land. And he keeps tripping over coffee tables that HE PLACED.

We need to be honest. Trump was a great President, helped make America great again, stopped Hillary, and lots of other magnificent things. His SCOTUS picks helped get Roe overturned, and lots of other great things. When Trump is on, he's on.

But we can get MORE. And we won't if something isn't done about Trump's Achilles - his personnel instincts, which beget an inability to administer policy. They're a virtual dumpster fire. Sessions, the Mooch, Bolton, Tillersn, Mattis, Giuliani, McCabe, Nikki Haley, Sally Yates, Flynn, Hope Hicks, Reince Priebus, Rod Rosenstein. Oh, and Pence...and endorsing McCarthy. And PA and Alabama primary nonsense.

And this is not an inconsequential Achilles. Indeed, picking Rudy to lead the stolen election charge was a disaster. He may have been America's Mayor but he was out of his league when arguing cases. In fact he was by many accounts hung over and that's why his hair dye was trickling down his face. Maybe that deck was stacked against him, but our "ace" pitcher had no heat and the skipper kept him on the mound out of loyalty.

I'll grant that he had to deal with the swamp, etc. But this is like ballot harvesting and fraud....time to stop bitching.

I love poking they eyes of the MSM. I love memes. But I want lower taxes, a secure border, enemies of America that fear is, and peace and prosperity at home.

Ignoring a problem won't make it go away, and this is a big problem. Re-electing Trump is tough enough, but I don't want to spend four years crossing my fingers on him selecting competent pit bulls to administer MAGA.

He!!, I didn’t know Washington like I know now! I thought it was bad, but I swear I had no idea the cesspool of depravity and corruption that place had become! It’s a blob living in a swamp and it destroy everything in its path!

Bravo! And well worth-repeating. I shake my head constantly at the Monday morning quarterbacks who bemoan Trump's picks. They were recommended to him by people he felt were being honest with him. Trump had NO idea, like most of us had NO idea, that Washington was as deeply, hopelessly corrupt as it is. Ironically, it is what they did to Trump, and indeed the entire country, that finally revealed to all of us just what kind of evil individuals infest Washington, D.C.

Trump also hired Flynn and Bolton for the same job. Hard to see any ideological consistency there.

On the military side, I know officers who were on the staffs of some of Trumps’ picks. They all were stunned . Those were great guys on active duty and everyone was left wondering what happened to them.

They shouldn’t have been. $$$$ is what happened. Play ball or no swamp gravy was the word. And your career is over, too.

Trump admits he did not know DC.
I believe he made an effort early on to go along and get along, which probably
explains a lot of his hires. He soon realized how many snakes there are in DC.
If he gets another term, don’t think he will make those mistakes again.
But there are a lot of RINO’s in the Senate led by the Turdle.
They will probably limit Trumps ability to hire who he wants as AG and FBI.

Let the record show Trump was elected by a slim margin after he in shocking fashion destroyed both the GOP and Democrat parties. He faced a candidate in the General that the independents hated.....in Hillary Clinton.

His transition team was headed up by Chris Christie, until he was summarily dismissed, and his Chief of Staff was Reince Prebus.

You might say he hit the ground stumbling. His pick of Sessions doomed him to 4 years of playing defense.

Had he picked the right AG...things could have been dramatically different.
