Well, since they are workers in Mexico, we cannot blame this on illegal aliens. But it does reinforce that we should close the border and cut off all commerce and traffic from Mexico until they accept the return of all Mexicans currently living in the US.

How you get hepatitis depends on the type. But it can be transmitted via feces.

Perhaps raising them yourself has some merit?

If you knew what I know about how “south of the border” type field hands conduct themselves, you’d consider that so highly likely as to be effectively certain.

I’ve been eating the wild strawberries in my yard.

Suppose they could have been wee-wee-d on or pre-licked by the wildlife.

Is the virus “in” the fruit internally or “on” the fruit externally? (As in, does a good washing greatly reduce the chance of contracting it? This article is about frozen fruit rather than fresh, making washing less effective.)

Hepatitis A is fecal-oral. It is transmitted by not washing hands after pooping. It’s a scary illness when you get flu like symptoms and your piss is brown and your poop is grey. It resolves in 3 to 5 days. When I had it I read that around 75% of people living in urban areas had antibodies for Hep A and most never had symptoms. You can eat those strawberries and get exposed but your immune system could deal with it without you ever knowing. Like COVID.

“some minimal standards “

I totally understand ... and probably should have participated.
I usually try ...

But I just couldn't imagine the hoards of third worldrs
defecating on our food supply in a better light.

Have you seen the cities they are building near the boarder?

It has been my experience , that a lot of these folks don't know how to even use a “blue” house. The filth and unsanitary conditions will spread across the country.

Soon to be added to our own domestic homeless.

and it pisses me off (piss is not a foul word ... it's in the Bible)
