Senior Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are raising concerns about what role Trump-appointed federal judge Aileen Cannon will have in handling the case the Department of Justice is bringing against former President Trump.
Cannon, a member of the conservative Federalist Society who was confirmed to sit on the district court for the Southern District of Florida shortly after the 2020 election, made headlines last year when she ruled that an independent arbiter must review the 13,000 government records seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in August.
Her decision was later struck down by a three-judge panel made up from members of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Trump was indicted last week on 37 federal counts that accused him of violating the Espionage Act and conspiring to obstruct justice.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said Cannon’s record overseeing the federal investigation of Trump’s handling of top-secret documents raises serious questions about her neutrality.

Trump can only be tried of bogus and fake charges when RATs get to have a total control over judge and jury.
Now dammit, they are going to have to do a lot more bribes and threats to get the outcome they desire.
So if a liberal partisan hack was the judge then that would be “fair” to them?

Because everything would be fair and impartial if a Biden/Obama/Clinton judge oversaw it? The judicial branch has become just a political as the other branches. The problem with that is they adjudicate law, which should never be politically motivated.

LOL. Dems are terrified Trump MIGHT get a fair trial. But I’m sure the judge in question has been “approached” by some DOJ stooge to warn her that the CIA FBI has many ways to get back at you as Chucky Schumer says.
What difference does it make? All the judges are under one tent the higher uppers tell the lower judges what to do or else they will not be invited to their cocktail parties but will be regarded as an outcast in their little circle. I have no faith good things will come out of Miami. All of the judges have been compromised and polluted by the DC swamp. I want to believe so bad there are still good honorable judges out there but time and time again they have proven to be nothing but part of the DC polluted swamp. I don’t think today’s outcome will be good …..just saying.

Why aren’t Republicans raising concerns about the corrupt/partisan judges handling all the J6 cases?
According to the initial articles, this was a feature, not a bug.
By that logic Republicans shouldn’t have to go stand trial in front of any judge appointed by a democrat ?
