MSNBC topped cable news across the board on Friday, winning in both the total day and prime time averages of total viewers and in the key 25-54 age demographic.
MSNBC scored 1.46 million total day viewers and 179,000 demo viewers for first place. Fox News came in second with 1.28 million total day viewers and 136,000 demo viewers.
CNN, meanwhile, was in third place with 710,000 total viewers and 125,000 average total day demo viewers.
Fox News’s The Five was still the top rated show on Friday with 2.56 million total viewers, while Nicolle Wallace’s Deadline: White House came in second with 2.27 million total viewers. Wallace topped the demo with 270,000 viewers.

Why pick a day?
What about the other days, and weeks, and months.
Consistency is what the ratings are about.
Consistency brings in the advertising.
And, weren’t all the news channels suffering viewer losses during the last year?
I’m old enough to remember when Fox used to trash the other cable news networks to smithereens.
It’s on them, not the viewers, why this changed.
Too bad they all couldn’t come in fourth or lower.

Because that was the day of the Trump indictment so obviously MSNBC go much higher than normal figures that day.
They can sell their network to CNN. I could care less about Faux.
Add up all the numbers and less than 1-in-100 people are watching the evening propaganda shows.

They’re being bribed or blackmailed. No other reason why they’d do something so completely contrary to their self-interest.
True. But two months ago, this was not even a remote possibility.

Unlike others who have criticized him, I wouldn’t have a clue as to how many sit around that table in the board room. It could be like in the movie Margin Call and Ryan has little to say when all the Murdochs are there, when the top lawyers are there, etc.
