The Ukrainian Army is slicing through Putin’s incompetent clown army. Prigozhin had the most effective Russian army. But it exists no more. So fake Tsar Putin is left with the Russian buffoon army, to fight the Ukrainians.

I don’t put much stock into the news stories from either side. Too much propaganda, and I’ve lost even the little trust I’ve had in the media to believe much of anything.
I will say the Russians are not fighting in integrated units — tanks supporting infantry, supporting tanks, supporting artillery, with drones and planes. Each seems to be doing its own thing (and the pilots seem to be playing it extremely safe). As a result, they are all vulnerable. They are counting on the grind and sheer numbers.
The Ukranians are not what I would call “crack”, but are definitely fighting in a unified, NATO-style, manner, which will eventually “win” the day, albeit they have to keep nipping on the Russian forces slowly but surely.
I wouldn’t expect any giant land grabs until the very end, when the Russians have slowly been decimated.

It evokes images of soldiers running as fast as they can and getting blown up by mines. It reads like a movie script. The reality is probably very different. A soldier stepped on a mine.
Russia is the dead cat bounce of the old USSR. The USSR you worked against, also worked against USSR proxies, while in our military. You once were opposed to USSR/Russian imperialism. You changed. I never did.
All Russian leaders were rats and are rats. Though Boris Yeltsin and Gorbachev were halfway decent in relations with America....

Like everything from Ukraine there is no way to know anything about it because everyone lies full time.
Both Ukraine and Russia have artillery mine laying ability for laying mines behind the forward lines of the enemy. The intent is to trap enemy troops in forward positions where they can be liquidated.
Meanwhile, Russia continues to get it’s ass whipped
