Not good enough. AB must fail...not just one type of its beer.

“I think Modelo is an IMBEV holding like AB too.”

If I read this article right, Modelo is owned by a combination of Constellation and INBEV Anheiser Busch with fringe benefits.

As part of AB InBev’s acquisition of the 50% of Grupo Modelo it does not already own, AB InBev has agreed to sell Compania Cervecera de Coahuila, Grupo Modelo’s state-of-the-art brewery in Piedras Negras, Mexico, and grant perpetual brand licenses to Constellation for USD 2.9 billion, subject to a post-closing adjustment. This price is based on an assumed 2012 EBITDA of USD 310 million earned from manufacturing and licensing the Modelo brands for sale by the Crown joint venture, with an implied multiple of approximately 9 times. The sale of the brewery, which is located near the Texas border, would ensure independence of supply for Crown and provides Constellation with complete control of the production of the Modelo brands for marketing and distribution in the U.S.

Modelo Especial or Modelo Negra is better than Bud Light ever was. I’d just as soon go without as to drink Bud Light - urine from monkeys who drank real beer they used to call it when I was young.

I will drink it out of convenience it I don’t feel like making an extra trip to the beer store or when I’m in a restaurant that doesn’t carry much of a selection. They don’t carry my favorite beers, Paulaner(German) and Harp(Irish), in any of the grocery stores or most restaurants.

“I would like to know which Americans bought $297 million worth of Bud Light ...”

There is a growing number of Commies in this country who still buy it and those Commies who didn’t buy it before are buying it now to support their side. No doubt about it.

Modelo beer is Grupo Modelo, which is a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev.

On June 29, 2012, it was announced that Anheuser-Busch InBev would acquire the remaining 50% stake for an all-cash price of $20.1 billion.[4] On January 31, 2013, the US Department of Justice filed an antitrust suit in an attempt to prevent the buyout. The matter was settled and the two companies merged in June 2013,[5] with the transfer of all United States rights to Constellation Brands.[6] As a result, all of the company’s brands are made (in Mexico) by an unrelated company. In the United States, Grupo Modelo brands are distributed by Constellation Brands.

“I would like to know which Americans bought $297 million worth of Bud Light”

Transweiser is also sold in Canada, Mexico and a couple European Countries so that factors into the equation somewhat.

my favorite beers, Paulaner(German) and Harp(Irish),

you have good taste

I love Paulaner too - get it at my local Lidl

Which ones do you drink? The Weissbier and also Dunkel? Have you tried their Munchner Hell?

Have you tried also Warsteiner?

I first had them on a Lufthansa flight and loved the clean taste

I do also like the British ales - like

Harveys

I love Warsteiner. Been a while since I’ve had that one, I’ll have to pick some up next time.

Paulaner Hefeweizen is my favorite, but the Dunkel is good too.

Never had a Harvey’s. Is it real hoppy? I’m not a big fan of overpowering hops.

I used to drink Newcastle quite often, because most decent restaurants carried it, until it started being brewed in the Il and CA.

I used to really like Bass Ale, too, but they ruined it.

We just don’t make good beer on a large scale for some reason.

With a 100,000 illegal immigrants coming over the border from Mexico each month, I’m not surprised Modelo is #1

I was at the grocery store and they have a few refrigerators dedicated to InBev products. Of course they were full and the beer is not selling. I was thinking that it takes quite a bit of electricity to run those refrigerators. It is only one store and it is a large chain with many grocery stores. I figure that they have a contract with InBev for all that space and will be happy to release the space to other brands as soon as their contract expires. I figure there are many grocery store chains throughout the country with the same problem. All that beer is being refrigerated and is not selling. The stores and chains of stores have to be losing a lot of money throughout the country on this. I bet the lawsuits against InBev are going to start costing them serious money. If I were a retail grocery store I would be suing them for lost revenue because that is expensive space in the store.

Very convoluted relationship between Modelo group, inBev and Constellation Brands with different licensing and ownership and distribution deals. But InBev is somewhat involved.
Constellation Brands also has invested in a legal cannabis product distribution enterprise.
Think about all of the people making money off of selling stuff to us which is highly to somewhat addictive. From hard drugs ,cannabis, down to caffeine, alcohol, etc. Then there is the behavioral addictions like pornography, extreme sports, gambling, even binge tv watching.
That’s why they want control our thinking and even our governments. And for the most part they can. The bud light and target events are starting to expose their business and social beliefs connections , methods and motives.

Are we sure this is because of Bud Light's new love for trannies or is it because there are now more Mexican beer drinkers here?

It’s technically an InBev holding but is run by Constellation so it doesn’t count in InBev’s sales figures.

i like the taste of modelo negro myself.

Modelo Negro has the exact same parent company as Bud - AB.

i did learn that it was purchased i believe. when? tbh, i do not often actually drink modelo negro much at all... it seeemed to have been watered down. this might explain it. my impression is that it tasted better a decade or two ago. i will try to order it if i am cornered and there is nothing else to be had (nows fortunately a rare occurrence).

I was at a restaurant about a week ago and saw Modelo Negro on the menu. It was the absolute perfect choice for my entree. Then I realized that it was owned by AB and didn’t order it. The replacement glass of red wine was good - but I had my heart set on a stout. Wish they didn’t promote the perverts...

Tecate is owned by Heineken which is still family owned and not an InBev property. So, if you want to drink a Mexican beer unrelated to AB you could drink Tecate. I remember my Dad saying he drank Tecate somewhere either in Texas or the Caribbean during WWII and it was ok.
