FYI, we have Nixon to thank for the rise of the Chinese CCP. That is hardly the work of a “great foreign policy president”. We have Reagan to thank for our massive illegal immigration problem that is hardly the work of a “great diplomatic president”.

In 1972 Nixon won by the largest electoral margin in history... He opened pathways to China and Russia that still pay dividends to this day... And he opened the pathway for Regan, Thatcher and Pope John Paul II to essentially end communism in Europe.

Nixon and Regan were very great presidents... Clinton and Trump are an example of the histories most narcissistic and megalomaniacal presidents.

The problem with these Dystopian times that we live in today, is that most people don’t recognize that they are living in it.

It’s time for a cognitive adult to lead America and the free world... And America hasn’t had a leader like that since Reagan, and at the end of his presidency he had Alzheimer’s.

Dissing Reagan and Nixon overlooks their major foreign policy successes.

“Tear down this wall” Reagan was able to see the collapse of the Soviet empire by the end of his second term. This brought freedom to millions of Eastern Europeans.

Nixon was able to get China to relax to the point that the Chinese people could breath. Some even felt like they could get away with opposing the regime from within. Tiananmen Square would have never occurred before Nixon.

These far outweigh the nonsense that you bring up.

The issue isn't whether or not Nixon deserved to be taken out by what we now call the "Deep State" (I like the Russian term "the organs" better (it's shorthand for "the organs of State Security").

The issue is the emerging certainty that three Presidents in my lifetime have been driven from office, one way or another, by "the organs", and that since November 1963, those "organs" have exercised more and more control over both political parties such that the Dallas model has become obsolete.

Yet another Freeper, jpsb, who suffers from RDS — Reagan Derangement Syndrome. Sad.

President Reagan should be on Mount Rushmore. Third greatest president after Washington and Lincoln.

Reagan towers over the vast majority of presidents. Broke the USSR. Fixed the economy. Deep tax cuts

But all too many freepers believe they must trash Reagan in order to elevate President Trump so they wag fingers and say BuT AMnEStY
