The issue isn't whether or not Nixon deserved to be taken out by what we now call the "Deep State" (I like the Russian term "the organs" better (it's shorthand for "the organs of State Security").
The issue is the emerging certainty that three Presidents in my lifetime have been driven from office, one way or another, by "the organs", and that since November 1963, those "organs" have exercised more and more control over both political parties such that the Dallas model has become obsolete.

He didn’t. What a setup. He caved too soon twice. (1) When Joe and John Kennedy stole the election in 1960, and (2) when the GOP they told him to resign.
