It's been explained.

No. Weak excuses are being made for chickens hitting out of the debates. Not the same thing.

You just insist on being right about something that you are dead wrong about.

Same to you lady.

I don't need to hear from your favorite eGOP toad to know I won't vote for them.

Sounds like your credo: You don't need to know anything. And don't.

I haven't ruled out voting for Trump - unless he chickens out.

Just more irrational nonsense. Go vote for your favorite eGOP stooge.

...Trump seems to be leaning to the liberal side on the “social issues” and thus there’s less difference between him and the Dems on these issues.

Let's see how long Trump plays the "Disney Don" persona.

There is no Republican even Trump that has a margin for error, they need to be in front of as many people as possible as often as possible.

Nothing has changed with respect for debates, what’s happening now is the same thing that happened in the past all the way back to the Lincoln/Douglas debates.

Ronald Reagan won 46 states in 1980 and was very popular in 1984 and ahead comfortably in the polls, he still debated Mondale and ultimately destroyed him and won 49 states.

If you can passionately defend your positions in a public forum you debate anyone at any time.

The Deep State will never let Trump be president again. What do you think all the lawfare is about?

Trump isn’t going to take a pledge not to say the election was stolen, so it’s all moot anyway. He won’t be allowed to debate

Then Trump ends up looking weak to younger voters for not participating. After COVID-19, there aren’t enough older voters to be able to ignore that.

What you call a public forum, I and others call a farce. I'd pay to watch Trump trade ideas with RFK jr, in some mutually agreed upon arena. But the stale GOPe nonsense, a stage stocked with 1 Percenters, has gone the way of the Dodo bird. If Trump isn't on stage, no one will watch.

Granted more would watch if Trump was in the debate, it’s foolish to think people won’t watch otherwise.

If Trump can do in 2024 what he did in 2016 he can destroy his opponents, why not do it, they were all ganging up on him in 2016.

Like I said, no Republican not even Trump has a margin for error with voters, you need every single one of them, assuming you have it all wrapped up is a bad strategy IMO.

That’s true, IMO you do that by destroying your opposition, which Trump showed he is really good at based on the 2016 debates, not participating in 2024 would be a bad strategy.

I agree.

Why should he participate in a debate scenario stacked against him by some leftis networ moderator.

One thing Presidengt Trump pro ed, he cpuld not have a level play9ing field for any debate.

So why should he lend legitimacy and ratings to any one of them?

If TRump debates, he should charge the network several million per appearance.
