Former President Donald Trump has turned on his one-time White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany — accusing her of inflating poll numbers for his key Republican rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany just gave out the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews,” Trump fumed on Truth Social late Tuesday, just after his longtime supporter appeared on Jesse Watters’ Fox News show.
Milktoast appeared to be a misspelling of “milquetoast,” a term for a timid or meek person.
“I am 34 points up on DeSanctimonious, not 25 up,” he said, using his nickname for the Florida governor running against him for the Republican nomination for president.

I think if you put out a poll saying Trump is up 150% he will believe it. I might not vote for someone who lives by polling numbers.

Its amazing, having seen Trump in action for all these years that folks havent figured it out yet. If he perceives she is favoring his opponent he will address it, because as we know perception is reality.

I voted for Trump twice, and I’ll enthusiastically support him if he’s the nominee. However, I hope he’s NOT the nominee, because he consistently attacks people, even his closest allies, with petty garbage like this. In a general election, he will lose because he will continue to engage in this kind of divisive nonsense (which he has done again and again and again) and he will drive away independent/swing voters.
Perception is reality kind of like male\female perceives itself to be female\male so must be true!
Maybe true in a modern PR sense but it doesn’t mean I approve or respect it! I’ll take my reality as it is.
except it is not 2016 anymore and he looks bad not addressing the major issues facing the country in a measured manner.

I’m gonna have to side with Kayleigh here, she’s much cuter than Trump.
She’s doing what she needs to do to collect her paycheck. Just like the rest of the media pundits. Its how the game is played.
And Trump is responding in a way that has worked for him. I liked him as president and will not vote for a Bush proxy, so I don’t mind.
They’re very mad he’s destroying Desantis. Doing that is the smart play, go after your biggest competition, which he’s done and done very successfully. It’s already long over, Trump wins the nomination. Deal with that and choose between him and Biden

She proably asked Trump to lightly “dis” her on twitter so she would be seen as more neutral and could keep her job at Fox.
Maybe even get a promotion and a raise.

Always saying how "exhausted" they are with Trump being Trump. I never did get that. How exactly do they get "tired"?
Kayleigh is a big girl and can fend for herself quite well. Yes, she did good work for Trump as press secretary but she works for FauxNews now so is fair game in my opinion. I had already long lost respect for FauxNews but the firing of Tucker Carlson was the last straw for me. I will never watch that network again.
Any conservative working there these days is on the other side, so far as I'm concerned.
I gotta say, after the abuse that woman took in the press briefing room from the same kind of people I am sorely disappointed in her now.
He didn't do that during the primary season in 2016, either.
He'd be foolish to "address the major issues facing the country" right now ... since we have no idea what those issues will be come Election Day in 2024.
