US military equipment used in Russia, countering Biden claims: report

Pro-Ukraine fighters appeared to use at least three U.S. military vehicles as they attacked Russian territory on Monday, according to a new report that undermines promises from the Pentagon that U.S. military equipment will only be used within Ukraine's borders.

Russian forces captured at least two American Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) trucks, according to photos confirmed by The New York Times. The equipment was reportedly used by pro-Ukraine proxy forces, which often include Russians who oppose Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is unclear how these pro-Ukraine forces may have obtained U.S. military equipment.

Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, said Tuesday in response to the report that the U.S. government has not approved any decision by Ukraine to transfer U.S. military equipment to third-party forces in the war. He said the Pentagon is looking into the specific incident in Russia to see if the photos of the MRAPs can be confirmed.

Imagine if Mexico was using Chinese military equipment in the US Southwest.

Tell me again now this is a “war of choice” for Russia.

We went to war with Germany in 1917 over a telegram with the mere suggestion of Mexico joining Germany against the US.

Interesting...Ukraine was breeching the Russian border at the same time that Zelensky said he wouldn’t use the F-16s on Russia proper.

Mexico IS using Chinese and Russian equipment in the US Southwest. Among other things, Mexico flies the Hind helicopter gunship.

A Key Pivot Point in the Russia-Ukraine War The fall of an important city to Russia puts the United States at a crossroads point this dangerous war. Sadly, we appear committed to moving even faster down the wrong path.

They’ll promptly wind up in their military museum alongside WWII Tigers etc....

We just shrug it off. But can you imagine the hullaballoo of 3 or 4 BTR-60s were captured 5 or 10 miles inside our borders. This is what happens when Jake Sullivan and that three woman team of Biden’s is the pinnacle of our strategic thinking.

Look at you all line up for your ice cream cones!

I was kind of hoping these Russian freedom fighters or Ukrainians or whatever they are would reach the Russian nuclear weapons depot and bring the nukes back to Ukraine to use.

Get back to me when Ukraine reaches a major Russian city and levels it to the ground the way the Russians have been doing to Ukrainian cities.

I can only wish more of the same for Russia. Obviously this war is working in reverse for Putin couldn’t take Ukraine and can’t defend his own border.

Interesting, and I’ve read that telegram was the brainchild of a young Winston Churchill.

That said, it should be pointed out that most US MRAPs were sold at auction in the years leading up to and after the Iraq and Afghanistan pullout and many were abandoned in the Sandbox. I certainly wouldn’t count it as official US support.

Your childish, cartoon-view of this war is on full display with this nonsense.

And Russia had breached the Ukrainian border - uh, hmm.

Russia can’t expect to remain inviolate after all its done vs Ukraine. Its an absurdity. Yet you take their complaints seriously.

Yeah so two years into the war Ukraine ginned up a minor incursion into Russia, and the usual suspects here want to tell us it means Ukraine started the war.

As for Mexico and every other analogy or historical example they like to use,

I tired long ago reminding folks this is AMERICA. I’m on THIS side not the Russian side.

Mexico happens to be invading us right now with people drugs and weapons, and we don’t attack them, but that’s neither here or there.

“Among other things, Mexico flies the Hind helicopter gunship.”

No sparky, it does not. They fly a fleet of US made, Eurocopters and a few MI-17 cargo ships. But even if it had MI-24s, imagine them coming over to Tucson uninvited.
