Former President Donald Trump blasted Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) ahead of his presidential campaign launch on Wednesday, asserting he would be doomed to fail in the general election after voting to overhaul entitlement programs when he was a congressman.
Trump, the leading Republican presidential candidate, took to Truth Social to hit DeSantis’s support of legislation that took aim at Social Security and Medicare during his time in Congress :

You sound like the spam risk caller today!!!
Not sure what you mean about me and can’t believe in heaven without Satan...???
Signed, unloving Christian moron vomiting blowhole
‘ Trump sycophants on FR are too busy being nasty and calling people names just like he does ‘
That has seemed so juvenile to me. Do people think that this makes their case better?
He attacks people so personally if oftentimes turns them into enemies, Georgia and Brian Kemp are perfect examples, Trump attacked him during Covid and then savagely after 2020, without Kemp helping, we have two Democratic senators in a state generally dominated by Republicans
People here on FR defend Trump without question, politics isn’t business when you can order things to be done, you may not like Brian Kemp but working with him would be better for the country
Haha you belong to the losing team. Enjoy defeat.
I think they’re trying to intimidate those that speak well of Governor DeSantis into not talking about him.......attempting to shut down free speech right here on FR......unbelievable. SMH
Perfect point about Kemp. He’s not perfect but no one is, and it takes a team to win.
Trump supporters live in a fantasy land (think Q) where Trump is a comic book hero who can save the world by himself. In reality, the world just doesn’t work that way, you need a team to accomplish anything.
They’ve become blind to all his negatives, because they are stuck in their fantasy of Trump being some sort of god, when in fact he’s obviously a sinful man who routinely makes horrible decisions that negatively impact us all. His unashamed support of homos is a perfect example.
He will continue to destroy true conservatism and replace it with vanity and vulgarity unless more Christians wake up and start to support REAL family men with wholesome values, who know how to build a team, work graciously with others, and only speak the truth. I see a lot of that in DeSantis, but almost none of it in Trump.
It is amazing how the people on this web page bash the greatest President we ever had. This man has been thru more than anyone else could ever hope to fight off. He did so much good while in office with the Democrats just beating on him constantly. It took a planedemic (and it was planned) to make people turn on him. Trump loves America and believes in it’s greatness. I wish more the American people would get their heads out of their asses!
Arizona is another prime example of Republicans fighting among themselves and giving the Democrats an opening to gain 2 more Senate Seats.
Joe Manchin in WVa, Sherrod Brown in Ohio, and John Tester in Montana are 3 more Democrats in Red States that can be defeated but won’t be if the Republican Party is split.
Add it up, 2 in Georgia, 1 in Arizona, 1 in Montana, 1 in Ohio, and 1 in West Virginia.
That’s 6 Senate Seats at a minimum which should be Republican, that would give the Republicans 55 seats in Senate, how much different would be things be if that was a reality.
If you look at Demographics, the Republicans should always have around 52-56 seats in the Senate.
Trump Trump Trump.
As I said in the post you responded to, you have fallen for the belief that Trump alone is responsible for the good things that happened in America in 2017 and 2018. But he wasn’t solely responsible for those achievements, we also had both houses of Congress who actually wrote up all that new legislation, including the tax cuts.
The truth is, most ANY Republican President would have success with both houses of Congress following Obama. Trump did pretty good but he also made some horrible mistakes with his appointments of people to his cabinet and other high level positions. It was far from perfect execution.
Since we lost that Congress, he’s reverted back to his Democrat roots, now even pushing gay marriage on us. I’m simply not interested in his vain and vulgar performances anymore. And that does not make ME the bad person.
I listen to Hannity maybe 5 minutes A WEEK because he repeats the same tired things over and over and one of them is that republicans need to go with the Clinton idea of "safe, legal and rare". He says he's a catholic but the republicans have to compromise, so, don't be surprised if Trump starts parroting this. And, as for the Trump suck ups, all I can do is SMH. I voted for him twice but all this acting like a petulant child is just a turn off.
