DeGrasse reminds me of Frank Baxter of 1950’s tv lecture fame...just reiterating theories as a popular truth. I don’t pay him much heed anymore. well educated he may be, but I think he has exceeded his shelf life.

That’s the ultimate end point of believing in the evolution of man. Someone decides that one ethnic group has similarities to a genetic precursor and is considered less perfected. That man (deG) is officially following the same reasoning that the eugenicists and Hitler did in the early to mid 20th century.

C.S. Lewis quote from 1958:

“Again, the new oligarchy must more and more base its claim to plan us on its claim to knowledge. If we are to be mothered, mother must know best. This means they must increasingly rely on the advice of scientists, till in the end the politicians proper become merely the scientists’ puppets. Technocracy is the form to which a planned society must tend. Now I dread specialists in power because they are specialists speaking outside their special subjects. Let scientists tell us about sciences. But government involves questions about the good for man, and justice, and what things are worth having at what price; and on these a scientific training gives a man’s opinion no added value. Let the doctor tell me I shall die unless I do so-and-so; but whether life is worth having on those terms is no more a question for him than for any other man.”

As per my previous post, the medical “experts” are already causing laws to be made that prevent people with gender dysphoria from getting true mental health care, and instead state that the ONLY treatment is hormones and sex change operations.

Although in the last year or so I’m glad to see that some states are at least banning that medical treatment for minors. But in many states, mental health treatment for gender dysphoria is BANNED.

Most people I have met with PhDs are really knowledgable about a very specific thing...yet really stupid on virtually everything else.

I listen to a western show by the Riders in the Sky every week on Sirius XM, and almost every week I am annoyed when they send out a song to “friend of the show” Bill Nye the “Science” Guy.

I learned more and more about less and less
And now I know almost everything about almost nothing
That’s what I tell my clients

Metmom wrote, that one little-mentioned dimension of the pandemic, was the loss of Authority Bias that the medical and science "experts" had previously.

It's gone for at least half of this country.

I read about a study put out by Harvard yesterday, basically saying whites harbor racist attitudes. In the past, we'd have assumed it was a hatchet job on conservatives. Most of us did.

Since I don't trust these jackwagons, I dug in. Guess what? About 60-70% of the subjects self-identify as liberals. AND buried deep in the 100+ page supplement was ONE SENTENCE saying these sentiments didn't vary by political leaning.

I bet, if I had their data set and ran the experiment without bias, I'd find that the liberals are more racist than everyone. But that won't get published....it'll get buried. Like it did herein.

Relatedly, a recent Pew survey found that Americans are evenly divided over the value of current medical treatments: 49% say medical treatments are worth the costs because they allow people to live longer and better-quality lives, while the same share says these treatments often create as many problems as they solve.

They burned up any credibility they had trying to lock us down, elect a man with dementia, and force an experimental shot on us all.
