President Trump has opened up a HUGE lead over Ron DeSantis in the latest round of 2024 polling.
RealClearPolitics GOP Primary Polling averages show President Trump with his largest lead yet over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump’s polling average lead stands at an impressive 34 points.
On January 1st, 2023, Trump’s average polling lead over DeSantis sat at 19 points. Trump’s lead slipped to 15 points in mid-march. Meaning Trump’s polling average has picked up 19 points in less than two months.
Trump has had a strong showing the last few months, starting with being the only Presidential candidate to make a trip to East Palestine, Ohio. Trump continued to build momentum by gaining major endorsements and setting clear policy objectives, including ending the War in Ukraine in 24 hours.
DeSantis has flopped since mid-March due to his awkward moments with voters and the fact that he has provided no clear policy goals. For example, DeSantis gave Tucker Carlson with one answer on his stance on Ukraine but provided Piers Morgan a different one. GOP voters are also waking up to the fact that Trump’s endorsement of DeSantis in 2018 is the only reason DeSantis is Florida’s Governor today.
Trump spoke about his poll numbers on TruthSocial writing: “Bushie RINO, Marc Thiessen, who is willing to misrepresent facts, in order to have his Bush supporters help his friend DeSanctus start gaining in the polls (he’s dropping like a rock!) said that “Trump lost Iowa last time around.” Actually, I won big, but there’s nobody at Fox News who wants to correct these false statements, of which there are many! This reminds me of 2016 all over again!”
The GOP primary election kicks off with the Iowa Caucus in early 2024.

But how often have we been told that polls don’t matter?

I can only think DeSantis believes the courts are going to take Trump off the board.

The Florida Gov doesn't have his heart in it.
He is being led along, only to split the vote.
The rats will use him, abuse him, and discard him on the side of the road, out the window
He is a good man, and will likely go far, but he needs to learn and be wary of Brutus, and his ilk.

People generally don’t throw money at something they think will result in a loss. As usual, something always stinks in the swamp.

The more people entering the race provides Trump a bigger advantage.

The Lamestream Media wants Trump to be the nominee. The reason is because the RINOs in the state legislatures will once again look the other way when the cheat-by-mail-in ballots give the win to the Democrat.
We all saw how cheat-by-mail-in ballots were used to steal Kari Lake's election in 2022.
Unless the state legislatures or SCOTUS(assuming Lake's case gets in front of them) puts a stop to it, a Republican will never be elected president again, and no MAGA candidate will win their election to the US Senate/House/Governor/SoS

Well, it’s settled then.
No need for primaries, rallies or debates (or elections).
It’ll be Biden/Harris vs. Trump/Lake.
And, of course, Biden/Harris in a landslide.
Just check the polls . . .

I know it’s a cliche, but, we do not do coronations. Trump is the leading candidate, but, he’s got to go through the primary process.
If all these other people want to be candidates for vanity, ego, visibility, go ahead, but I think we all know Trump trumps them all. Barring some black swan event, Trump is the GOP nominee.

Rove, Ryan and the Bush network singing a siren song in his ear
Casey sticking a cattle prod in his rear from behind.
His pride making it too difficult to wait.

Because people realize only President Trump can produce prosperity in America; not these Communist wannabes (in both parties).

polls matter a great deal, they are the be all and end all...
as long as they agree with me...

‘Barring some black swan event, Trump is the GOP nominee.’
well, then that’s great; guess we don’t have to make the effort to vote in the primaries...

“I don’t think DeSantis runs...He’ll be the leader in 2028.”
Only if he manages to get Trump’s support

Trump will be the nominee with strong majority of the primary electorate.
The math is not there for anyone else to become the nominee as long as Trump is in the race.
