A Bud Light seller apparently stuck with too many cases of the unsold brew in the wake of the company’s Dylan Mulvaney fiasco is offering $20 rebates on purchases of a $19.98 case of beer.
A photo posted to social media shows stacks of 24-can cases of Bud Light with a promo taped to them touting a full rebate from the unidentified beer vendor.
“Things can’t be going great if they’re basically giving it away,” Twitter user Ed Latimore wrote.
“You’re making two cents profit per case when you buy Bud Light,” another Twitter user observed.
“And there’s still plenty on the shelf. They can’t even give people money to take it off their hands!”
Sales of Bud Light, the nation’s perennial top-selling beer, have tanked following calls for a boycott of the Anheuser-Busch brand.in the wake of its controversial partnership with the transgender influencer on April 1.
The controversy appears to be taking its toll on other brands within the Anheuser-Busch empire.
Those included Budweiser, down 9.7% versus an 11.4% drop a week earlier; Michelob Ultra, down 2.9% versus 4.3%; and Natural Light, down 2.5% versus 5.2% the previous week.Meanwhile, rivals like Pabst Blue Ribbon have seen sales shoot up 21.6% in the week ended May 6 — slightly more than the 18.9% spike the previous week.
Another competitor, Miller High Life, gained 10.4% in sales compared to an 8.3% bump over the same time period the previous week, according to Bump Williams and NielsenIQ data.

I wouldn’t drink that stuff if my life depended on it!
I would be afraid to drink anything hawked by a guy who allowed his ball to atrophy.
They want to be able to say they are moving more units now
than they did before they blew it.
This was my go-to beer. It’s now a little spec in my rear
view mirror.
This tells you what folks really think about the
Leftist/Communist agenda in the United States of America.
That brilliant affirmative action marketing hire, should have
gone all the way and renamed the beer.
Bud Lit!
I think the brand is too far gone. There is literally nothing theg can do to stop the freefall at bud lite imho.
They can still salvage other brands, but I think bud lite is gone.
they are asking you to dispose of it for them
its more expensive for them to do it
Many, many moons ago, my oldest brother developed a non-poisonous method to get rid of snails in the garden ivy. He bought some really crappy bear, poured it into an eight inch pie pan, and placed it in and near the ivy. The snails soaked up the bear and could not exit the pie pan. They were drunk, and cooked in the Sun.
Perhaps Bud needs to branch out to the Garden Center to sell its crap.
When the expiration dates on the beer start to catch up to the boycott I wonder what the plan will be?
That’s 2 cents profit up front.
Then, what’s the going rate on recycling aluminum cans?
A couple weeks ago I saw the Bud Light Seltzer 12 pack was on sale at Walmart for $10.99. Just out of curiosity I checked competing brands and they were all around $16. Bud has been cooking the books for a while now and artifically inflating the volume of their business, IMO.
Free Tranny Fluid
I would not even buy it for free just to pour it out.
This boycott is a crippling development for the corporate giant. Yet, they still have not figured out to terminate the catalysts of it all and apologize to their customers which should have been done within the 1st 2 or 3 days of this absolute foolishness.
I wouldn’t be surprised. I’d probably try to cover my behind
too, if I screwed up that bad.
Thanks for the mention.
When they start the $120 dollar rebate, I may have to rethink
this. LOL
Nah, just kidding. They’ve gotten the last of my business
they’ll ever see.
So are the wildly promiscuous with all their "pride" and "affirmation" and "diversity."
‘Tomorrow’ finally arrived.
54 cents a pound. I just can’t see tying up a $20 bill and my time to make 56 cents. Plus people might see me buying it.
Hey do you have to mail the rebate in? That’ll wipe out any profit
If they categorically apologise tomorrow. Complete mea culpa.
Do you think they’ll get customers back? I’m pretty sure they won’t.
Will it stop the freefall? At this point I don’t think so
