It is going to be interesting to see the effect AI has on employment numbers over the next few years, especially in the technology sector.

The article notes the HR departments may be the first to be affected. I guess AI can replace the DIE department heads and scream "Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity" just as loud as any blue-haired and tatted white liberal.

The human resources (HR) sector will be replaced by non-humans. Sounds ominous.

“Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity” . Let’s rearrange those words “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” Aka D.I.E.

Educated jobs will be held by computers and labor jobs held by illegals. What are we supposed to do for work? Build the computers and ferry the illegals?

I used ChatGpt to construct a contract with a university in a project and it did as good a job as any lawyer and did it in 30 seconds. Legal and accounting work will absolutely be impacted.

The transition will happen gradually over the next few years, with machines potentially taking over up to 30% of noncustomer-facing roles in the five years.

Or as Hemingway said (roughly) in The Sun Also Rises, "The transition will happen gradually...then all at once."

If IBM is planning on replacing employees over the next five years, they are probably thinking of the current state of development of AI. In five years, AI will be light years ahead of where it is today. Even the CEO will be threatened with termination.

HR departments tend to be some of the most “woke” departments out there.

So we are going to see woke humans being replaced by woke AI.

The problem is that AI developers are using AI to increase its speed of advancement exponentially.

I have been using it over the last month and it is already changing dramatically.

Systems are already being created for doctors, lawyers, tax accountants/lawyers wherein their entire respective systems of knowledge (medical textbooks, journals, research papers, legal codes, case law, tax law) can be consumed by AI and returned to them by asking simple questions.

I don’t think Jo Jo the Demented Pedo clown is going to be around long enough to carry these younger generations into their “golden years.” They’ll all be turning mom and pop’s basement into a bed and breakfast joint.

I don't buy it. Salesforce is only taking incremental steps towards AI. NetSuite's accounting service isn't particularly robust with AI.

No, this red-dot poonjabber is canning 8K and deflecting by blaming AI, typical upper-caste behavior, and probably what he was hired for during the pandemic.

BEFORE Biden hired 87,000 IRS agents/employees . . .

04/14/2019 - The Hill

EXCERPTS:

The sheer size of our government workforce is an alarming problem

After eight years of reckless expansion of the federal workforce under Barack Obama, Donald Trump vowed to downsize the wildly growing bureaucracy of Washington. In 2016, he promised to “cut so much your head will spin.” However, during the first two years of his presidency, there has been no significant effort to reduce the bloated federal payrolls. In fact, the federal government is the largest employer in the nation.

Walmart, which has a presence in communities of all shapes and sizes, is the largest private employer in the nation with 1.5 million workers.

Yet the number of Americans who rely on the corporate giant for their livelihoods is dwarfed by the number who rely on the federal government for their paychecks.

The federal government employs nearly 9.1 million workers, comprising nearly 6 percent of total employment in the United States.

The figure includes nearly 2.1 million federal employees, 4.1 million contract employees, 1.2 million grant employees, 1.3 million active duty military personnel, and more than 500,000 postal service employees.

Without the people there will be nobody to train the AI, which is critical. Otherwise the AI will just end up being an interesting door-greeter.

One of the coming possible dangers of ai is mimicry.

there is a story out now about how ai is able to quickly analyze and mimic someones voice- if true, this will lead to phone calls using ai voice mimicry to dupe people into giving out sensitive Info or money, ie, the voice will say it needs money to “get their car back” or to “prevent going to jail” or some such scam.

If this happens, a possible way to combat it is to have those you know always give you a password when they call so,that you know it is really them. Or to ask the caller somehting that only the caller would know about if it is really them.

IF this does come to fruition, it’s pretty sad that we will, have come to a point where we can’t even trust our own ears when people call. Sca mess are a,ready spoofing people’s phone numbers, so it will look like they are actually calling from known phone number, and will sound like the person too.

I was reading about a survey done with Zero Gennies. They all say they need to make at least $120,000 per year with lots of time off to go hiking to be “comfortable.” ROTFL. They need to run down to the Rio Grande on May 11th. Their competition for jobs is going to show up and wade across the Rio Grande to prove it. The youngsters out there need to hurry and get an Uber driver or Grub Hub delivery job before they’re all gone. Elections do have consequences. You idiots should have stayed home during the 2020 banana fest instead of “voting” for your massah, the Demented One.
