Or as Hemingway said (roughly) in The Sun Also Rises, "The transition will happen gradually...then all at once."

If IBM is planning on replacing employees over the next five years, they are probably thinking of the current state of development of AI. In five years, AI will be light years ahead of where it is today. Even the CEO will be threatened with termination.

Relax.
Microsoft can’t even make windows operating system without 900 updates. AI will have more bugs by orders of magnitude.
AI programmers are not rocket scientists.
It is over hyped just like cold fusion and cure for cancer.
That keeps research & development funds rolling in.
