A homeless man's death has been ruled a homicide as protesters took to New York City's subway system to demonstrate his death at the hands of Marine veteran.
Jordan Neely, 30, was shouting and pacing aboard an F train in Manhattan on Monday afternoon, witnesses and police said, when he was taken to the floor by a 24-year-old US Marine veteran from Long Island who is between deployments.
His death has now been ruled a homicide caused by compression of the neck. The decision of whether or not to charge the Marine will be made by the district attorney's office.
Video of the altercation posted online showed the man lying beneath Neely, holding him in a headlock position for several minutes as Neely tried and failed to break free.
A second passenger pinned Neely's arms while a third held down his shoulder. It was unclear why the group had moved to restrain him. Neely lost consciousness and was pronounced dead at a Manhattan hospital shortly afterwards.
On Wednesday, protesters began assembling at New York City's Broadway-Lafayette subway station, where Neely was taken to the hospital from, to protest his death. Chants of 'black lives matter,' 'justice for Jordan Neely,' 'F*** Eric Adams' and 'the homeless matter' could be heard, reports Gothamist.

Protests ramping up for the Summer of Neely.
In older threads, people were praising this Marine for being a hero, and that "if the police won't stop crime, the people must do so," etc.
I observed that, whatever the morality of his actions, the Marine had acted stupidly. The homeless guy hadn't yet physically attacked anyone. A white cop would be in trouble for intervening, never mind a white civilian.
I feel sorry for the Marine and his family. He's in for a world of hurt.
Things are going to be bad, this summer.
New York is going to have a rough road ahead with the protests. The Marine’s future is finished. It’s a tragic mess.

He should only have kept a chokehold long enough for others to grab his limbs to hold him down until the police arrived. That was his mistake.

The idiot headline writers use homicide to imply murder. Homicide just means the death was a resulted from a human.
This likely will be charged as murder or manslaughter later but of course it was homicide.
I don't doubt Neely (the homeless guy) was dangerous and would have attacked someone, somewhere, sooner or later. But he had not yet attacked anyone in this instance. This makes it very difficult for any civilian to claim self-defense.
"Progressive" law in NYC is going to look at this as vigilantism, as "taking the law into your own hands" and "making yourself judge, jury, and executioner." That's how it's going to be framed by the D.A. and the MSM.
And the upcoming "mostly peaceful" rioters will frame it as a white supremecist hate crime.

At the same time, wording like this is is menacing. It’s as if the author is working to portray these individuals as pitbulls, monsters—inhuman—worthy of criminal punishment. But wants to be able to claim otherwise.
That's how the protestors will read it. "You see! They even ADMIT that white racist MURDERED Neely."
I’m not surprised that there are protests. The actual moment of death is online for all to see. Yes, it was satisfying, watching some big mouth thug get his comeupance, but when it comes to his group; thugs, felons, convicts, random destroyers; they seem to be a protected species by several highly paid Attorney Generals, from coast to coast.
This is how things are, now in year 2023. Ask any Alvin Bragg. That anarchist/ progressive impulse won’t be going away any time soon.
The Marine’s trainning kicked in, and then he acted.
Maybe too much so.
Certainly, someone on that subway car have had CPR training, and not a single person on the train attempted to provide first aid. No one tried to help, even the person off camera who claimed to be former military attempted any life saving measures.
And when the man not on camera mentioned a murder charge, the second man holding Neely laughed.

Will Marine Eric Adams be tried in a Military Court ?
I hope he is already on a flight to Russia or somewhere so far deep in South America they still speak German. Or maybe Vietnam... I don’t think they extradite either.
