John McLaughlin to Newsmax: Trump Best to Beat Biden

New polling data from the monthly McLaughlin & Associates national survey is showing former President Donald Trump pulling away from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, his closest rival for the 2024 GOP nomination.

Pollster John McLaughlin tells Newsmax that is because voters see him as the candidate who can defeat President Joe Biden.

"When you consider the trajectory of how much support Donald Trump has gotten since the beginning of the year, one-on-one against Ron DeSantis, Trump was leading him in January by 52-40 [percent]," McLaughlin told Tuesday's "Wake Up America," about the poll, released Tuesday. "It's now 67-26."

The same poll of 1,000 likely voters also shows Trump ahead of Biden 47%-43%, according to McLaughlin.

"Donald Trump is the best presidential candidate to beat Joe Biden," McLaughlin said, doubling down on the numbers. "We know he's done a good job as president. The country, 70% of the voters in the same poll, say we're on the wrong track. Two-thirds say the economy is getting worse."

Voters know Trump can solve the "real problems" the country is facing, he added.

"He is on message," McLaughlin said. "He is focused. He is determined that he's going to win this election — that he would fix America."

Trump's numbers are climbing while DeSantis's are dropping because "Trump is taking the message and the fight to Joe Biden," McLaughlin added.

"The country has gone backward over the last two years," he said. "The economy's in real bad shape. He can't stop the war in Ukraine, the border's out of control, crime is rising: They know Donald Trump can fix those things."

McLaughlin said Trump is pulling away, even though DeSantis is not expected to enter the race until later this month, because people like independents and women, or others who may not necessarily like Trump's style, are saying

Meanwhile, McLaughlin told The Washington Examiner that Trump appears poised for an "electoral landslide" if the election was held now between him and Biden.

"In 2016 and 2020, Trump never led in the national popular vote, but if the election were held today, Trump would beat Biden in the national popular vote, and it would be an electoral landslide for Trump," McLaughlin said.

There is no one else other than the endless conga-line of corrupt career lawyer politicians.

So the message is: Republicans should let Alvin Bragg make their decisions for them?

The problem then becomes:
1. Do we cheat and possibly have to put down a rebellion?
2. Do we lose and possibly go to jail?

They had to switch 15% of Trumps votes to Biden (my estimate), and even that was not enough.

They had to come up with 4million more at 4AM

More reasons than one to pray for Biden’s health.

Even the name ‘Biden’ has become a real poison to the democrats. I hope it’s a lethal one.

In theory he could. Biden is a miserable candidate. I was asking who in the world would be motivated to vote at all if their pres guy is Biden?

But I fear this is still delusional and wishful thinking.

People either hate Trump (TDS I) or love him (TDS II), and that doesn’t bode well.

Not Trump not any republican is going to win in 2024 until they learn how to play the ballot game with the dems.

That means supressing the illegal votes from illegals and dead people —plus gathering votes from republican voting base—especially from republicans who typically don’t vote.

If you control the votes, it does not matter who your candidate is.

Our best bet is to allow the Media-Dem Party to pick our candidate. If WE pick our candidate the Media-Dem Party will attack, smear, and cheat, but if we allow them to pick our candidate they won’t do any of those things, matter of fact, they may even help us win by attacking, smearing, and cheating IN OUR FAVOR.

It would be nice to see Biden out. I doubt that Trump will
get in by any landslide. If he’s the nominee I hope he wins
and I’ll vote for him. If Biden is the Democrat nominee and
Harris remains as his VP then I’m not sure anyone on the GOP
side can defeat them. jmo

And whats to keep them from doing it again. In reality I’m
hoping we don’t have a messed up election like last time.

Yes, of course they will cheat. They have convinced themselves that they can put down the rebellion afterwards.

It will be up to us to prove they are mistaken.
