Maybe the pundits claiming former UN ambassador and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley is really running for vice president were right.
By mimicking former president Donald Trump's mockery of Ron DeSantis as "sanctimonious" and supporting the Disney Corporation in its feud with the Florida governor over its woke policies, Haley is kissing up to the current frontrunner. Helping Trump attack DeSantis may seem like smart politics. But since her campaign remains stuck in the low single digits, despite years of working towards her presidential goal, it's just as likely that Haley is only validating those who have said all along that her only realistic shot is to become Trump's running mate.
That might make her the Republican equivalent to Vice President Kamala Harris. President Joe Biden chose Harris as his running mate to demonstrate his fealty to the diversity catechism after her disastrously incompetent run for president proved she couldn't overshadow him once they were elected. And since Haley seemed to tout her own diversity credentials as much as anything else in her campaign announcement—prompting some conservatives to mock her as the GOP's "diversity candidate"—she may serve the same purpose for Trump.
But there's more at play here than Haley's efforts to keep her campaign visible and mend fences with her former boss. DeSantis' argument with Disney—which has now sued to get back its power to effectively govern itself via a sweetheart deal from the state that the governor recently canceled—is more significant than any political points Haley can score off it.

That would be a problem.
He also sided with Disney, so picking her as VP would make sense.
The "tell" will be if she attacks DeSantis and other candidates, but not Trump.
Yes, she, Trump, anyone siding with Disney, Anheuser Busch, etc. should be disqualified. That includes the Trump family. Besides, Haley is disqualified as an Indian anchor, baby of two noncitizen Indians, I have yet to see if she’s addressed her dual citizenship.

She really is an RINO…and she’s gotten only more so over the years.
Btw, the people of SC, or at least those that I know, were not happy with this latest RINO idiocy.
DeSantis is trying to protect the children and families of FLorida from the manipulations of a wildly corrupt and insanely powerful corporation that should never have gotten the power that it has. Disney is, under the old law, practically a state within a state and uses its power against its host state, Florida. I think a lot of people…such as Haley…don’t realize that.
Are our votes secure?
I think our primary votes are mostly secure. This is about the primary.
The general election votes are not secure at all.
We need a candidate with a plan to beat the legal ballot harvesting and the fraud.

There are many things she doesn’t realize.
No matter what you think of DeSantis, Haley’s siding with Disney is a massively tone deaf move with Conservatives. It just proves she has no rudder and will do whatever she thinks will get her “in.”
And don’t forget - Haley has also made it clear in the past she doesn’t really believe people should have “assault rifles.” To my thinking she wouldn’t hesitate at some future point to throw gun owners under the bus if she thought it would be a smart move for her politically.
Trump almost gave in on an assault weapons ban after the Vegas shooting. He was ready to ban them, but changed his mind because Democrats were trying to impeach him. So he said "screw it, I'm not working with them"
Next time, if Democrats want a ban and Trump gets into office, all they have to do is play nice and he will sign the ban.

Let me try to educate you.
The Florida law outlaws posting hateful or threatening messages on PRIVATE PROPERTY.
It does nothing to stop such things on public property.
It prevents anti-Semites from posting Swastikas on Jewish people's homes or a Synogogue. It prevents racists from posting a picture of a burning cross on a black family's home or church.
It is about PRIVATE PROPERTY, not free speech.
