CLEVELAND, Texas -- The manhunt for an alleged gunman continues after being accused of shooting five of his neighbors to death, including an 8-year-old, inside a home in Texas Saturday.
Francisco Oropeza, 38, has been on the run since being accused of retaliating after his neighbors asked him to stop firing rounds in his yard because they were trying to sleep, authorities said Saturday.
Authorities said they have previously been to the suspect's home, according to Capers.
"Deputies have come over and spoke with him about him shooting his gun in the yard," he said.
Authorities describe Oropeza as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing jeans, a black shirt, and work boots. Investigators said he has a goatee and short black hair.
A judge has issued an arrest warrant for Oropeza and assigned a $5 million bond. Authorities believe Oropeza left by walking or on a bicycle and is currently within a two-mile radius of the scene.

Were they not able to determine his immigration status?
In Texas are they allowed to determine one's immigration status?
ALL CAPS!!! Because you know, everyone shooting outdoors is going to be a mass murderer.
“A judge has issued an arrest warrant for Oropeza and assigned a $5 million bond.”
Should be a Bounty.
He’s runnin for the border. Probably already gone...
In a way, it is.
He’ll be back. Just watch.
RE: you know, everyone shooting outdoors is going to be a mass murderer.
Deer: It’s about time they realized that.
Old saying:
Be sure you know who’s coming into your yard before you shoot them.
I don’t know the layout of the neighborhood, but it seems a little extreme to be shooting a center-fire rifle in your backyard if you have neighbors right next door. It appears the main grip was over the noise.
So they don’t think there is a possibility that a guy who shot a bunch of people might steal a car?!
Ironic that a Ch!tcago “news” outlet is reporting about a TX shooting.
They need to clean up their own chitty city.
Again, worthless Tejas. The police are worthles, too. If there is an illegal shooting his illegal AR 15 in your backyard. TAKE HIM OUT FIRST.
The shooter was firing his gun in his own yard-and it is not illegal to have an AR 15 here-he was not in anyone else’s yard-but shooting for no reason is illegal in most cities/towns and rural areas with houses closer than a few acres-but you still can’t just run outside and shoot someone for firing a gun, mojado or not-they have to be attacking you/your property. He was told to stop by deputies, but he is obviously a lunatic, like mass shooters tend to be, so he went psycho-he’s probably stolen a car/gotten on a bus and is in Mexico by now, so extradition will come into play. Too bad the deputies didn’t arrest the lunatic when the neighbors called and complained...
I don’t know what state you live in, but I’d be interested to know what happens there “If there is an illegal shooting his illegal AR 15 in your backyard. TAKE HIM OUT FIRST”-what happens to the person who does something so irresponsible as that? You really need to have a good and obvious reason, legally speaking for shooting someone in their own yard-but if you do, then no harm no foul...
“
help me understand, no discharging a firearm in town limits the first time???
Speaking of “sayings”, Amazon has some funny metal signs for homeowners. My fave: “Warning: Due to Price Increase on Ammo Do Not Expect a Warning Shot”
Not sure if it’s true, but I heard it was around 11:00 at night too. Guy must have been really fun as a neighbor.
Freegards
Love it.
The border is wide open. What can get in can also get out.
They’re not sending us their best.
Left out that all parties were illegals.
