It’s worse than that. The Democratic Party controlled New York state legislature passed a law temporarily suspending the Statute of Limitations on rape for one year so Trump could be charged. This is an ex post facto law specifically disallowed under the Constitution. I suspect that if this further persecution wasn’t helping him politically his lawyers would be screaming much louder over this injustice.
