INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Former President Donald Trump ripped Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News here after his National Rifle Association (NRA) speech, saying DeSantis should be in Fort Lauderdale helping oversee the response to the flooding of one of his state’s biggest cities instead of touring the nation “campaigning.”
“He shouldn’t be campaigning right now,” Trump said of DeSantis. “He should be there.”

Trump was the sitting GOP President.
Why would Trump NOT endorse DeSantis in 2018?
Also, there was significant voter fraud in Broward County in 2016 and 2018.
DeSantis crushed that voter fraud after being elected governor in 2018.
In 2020, Trump won Florida by 3%.
In 2022, DeSantis won Florida by almost 20%!
Pretty amazing how supposed party of small government is supposed to be providing government assistance
Wtf
How dare you insert facts into the discussion to derail nonsensical moronic rambling!
We don’t need facts! We have our feelings!
You are of course, correct. DeSantis and Scott won by nearly the exact same margin. DeSantis was behind in almost every single poll. Nelson lead most polls over Scott as well.
People forget that 2018 was a D wave year, and Florida was several points to the right of the national mean, just like it has been in every election since 2004. If Trump’s endorsement was the magic talisman that some of the clueless think that it was, DeSantis would have won by a lot more than Scott.
Ground was saturated. It started raining Monday at 4 pm and didn’t stop until Thursday morning. Whether DeSantis was here wouldn’t have made no difference. I drive a truck so I had no issues.
Are you under the impression that a president has the powers of a dictator?
Come on, you are smarter than that. The courts refused to hear the evidence, his own party despised him because he was more loved then they were, and had done a better job than any of the Republican predecessors, including Reagan. Reagan was not embraced by the GOPe either, but he was so loved by the electorate that they couldn't stop his reelection, but they did assist the Democrats with the theft of the 2020 election.
They do not even like their base for goodness sakes. Trump & now the base were awakening to the corruption within their own political party, which means we are now a threat.
I'll agree that he has stood by some of these people he should not have stood by. Why is a mystery to me. Perhaps there is more going on than we fully understand right now.
But since he was the one who started awakening the masses within the Republican Party, I will stick with him, for I trust no other at this point in time.
I was a big DeSantis fan, but he has exposed himself as being a willing Trojan Horse for the GOPe to try and replace Trump & destroy the MAGA movement. Unless some convincing evidence comes out to make me feel differently about him, I'm not sure I could ever support him to become our leader.
I'm hoping more people will wake up & see who Trump really is, and also see who the Democrats actually are as well.
That's where my prayers are directed at right now.
Losing again and again is not a good matrix for making Political Decisions either.
“DeSantis won Florida in 2022 against a Democrat by a bigger margin than Donald Trump ever has and ever will in the state.”
LOL. One article does not a fact make. In fact, Desantis and his camp is proof positive of this. When President Trump told the country about Desantis coming to the president BEGGING for his endorsement, nearly in tears, there was no refutation of that. Nary a word of adamant refutation.
Desantis is a governor Mini-Me. Attempting to advance a political career on the coattails of the man who made him with no loyalty whatsoever to the man who helped him become a governor.
A man such as this is NEVER to be trusted. He is a man concerned with his own aspirations. Our country does not need another such a person. They are responsible for the precarious situation this once great country is in. Such persons are our ultimate doom. If you are too blind to see this You are a part of the ultimate demise of the USA.
Trump is an who can’t control his ego. Tjat is his downfall.
Assuming you’re going to lose again when the election was stolen is an act of cowardice, and stupidity.
“I voted for Trump twice.” lol!
If I had a dollar for every time this has been stated by the I supported President Trump then, but I don’t now, I’d be a Billionaire! Yet, all of you sound like disgruntled Yeb supporters! The exact same Talking Points.
over a little flash flood??...in one little town? No one got killed..no one got injured. DeSantis proved his leadership with his outstanding job on that hurricane...
On that we agree. Burmt it would be better if we didn’t have loser Rhona in the RNC.
If you don’t want to hear it, then quit talking about. It is my advice.
“Trump is an who can’t control his ego. Tjat is his downfall.”
Can you restate this in the English Language, please? Trump’s attitude, his never give in, never give up attitude is exactly the attitude we need if we are to win the battle against the Deep State. If you are so wrapped up in his Tone you are not a part of the solution. YOU are a part of the PROBLEM. Too concerned with minutia and no understanding of the Battle our country is in the midst of for our survival as a Constitutional Republic. The he’s so uncouth.
He makes me embarrassed is a serious issue with modern America. Too many people are too timid to recognize and appreciate an Alpha Male fighting to defend and preserve our nation.
All that is important, but his pettiness turn people off. Reagan: There is no limit to what a man can accomplish if he doesn’t care who gets the credit. I understand the battle just fine we are at war with the godless Marxists who have infiltrated this beautiful Country.
“Trump is the first incumbent President to get more votes than his previous election.”
That is one of the silliest statements ever. You obviously didn’t bother actually checking the facts before making this statement.
Nixon: 1968, 31.7 million votes; 1972, 41.7 million votes.
Reagan:1980, 49.3 million votes;1984, 54.4 million votes.
Clinton: 1992, 44.2 million votes; 1996, 47.3 million votes.
Give me a little time and I can probably find other incumbent presidents that got more votes than their first election and still lost.
You know what you can go do to yourself.
