The US Air National Guard is preparing for the largest movement of forces across the Atlantic Ocean in its history. The service will send 100 aircraft to the US to take part in the Air Defender 2023 military exercise.

Here's What We Know The upcoming exercise will take place from June 12 to 22.

They are designed to demonstrate the US Air National Guard's ability to quickly deploy and use forces across Europe in the event that war in Ukraine spreads to NATO countries. Lieutenant General Michael Loh made the announcement.

The United States will send approximately 100 aircraft to Germany for the 10-day exercise. They include fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighters, upgraded fourth-generation F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft and the older F-15C Eagle along with the legendary A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft. They will be supported by Pegasus air refuelers.

Air Defender 2023 will be the first exercise in which Finland, as a NATO member, will participate. It has not yet received F-35 Lightning II fifth-generation fighters, so it will send F/A-18 Super Hornets. Ingo Gerhartz, Lieutenant General of the German Air Force, announced about it.

The German military officer reminded that Germany ordered F-35 fighters in 2022. Deliveries will start in 2027 and pilots will go to the US for training in 2026. The deal to buy 35 aircraft was worth $8.85bn.

I’m just shaking my head at the sheer hysteria and fever dreams of some FReepers these days.

The military is an institution much bigger than a single presidential administration and survived far worse.

I spent 3 years in Italy, 4 in Germany. EVERY year we had major deployments of Air Guard and Air Force Reserve to various exercises.

Usually, they’d want to know if we could take them to Oktoberfest!

Yeah but is it Bud Light?

Cause if he survives, radiation-poisoned zombie Kid Rock might come knockin'!

Calm down, man.

The AIR National Guard isn’t used to quell protests or help out in riots.

This is an Air Force thing, where the Guard and regulars are much closer than the Army and NG.

I am retired Air Force, and seen my share in the past.

I guess it isn’t your imagination but your way of trying to convince people of something negative by posting falsehoods and a fake reality of how countries that are allied with us are pulling closer and increasing capabilities to fight China.

Which is probably why your posts are becoming more unintelligible.

They meed to retarget all the counties that voted for Trump since thats their real threat. Save all the blue lib cities as they would cheer for our destruction and welcome their conquerors with open arms.

Because the Air National Guard has been doing it for nearly 60 years now.

Besides wartime employment, the Air Guard mission requires continuing theater familiarization training in those potential areas of future conflict.

Your links don’t back up your concerns, of course, Australia has some agreements with China, who doesn’t, and Japan is buying some oil.

They are both among our strongest allies and are both increasing their military ties with us.

You don’t think we had an opportunity to open up Russia to the West, instead of antagonize them?

Whatever, forever war, that is mankinds fate. USA fighting all over the world for 83 years, with 30 Trillion in debt and at least 20 more Trillion in the next 10 years. We had a chance, Hilldabeast even gave Putin a reset button, then turned around and threw them under the bus.

Now that Russia is again clearly the biggest evil in the world to the West, how did we get here?

In 2016 nothing happened that meant we could disarm.

The upcoming exercise will take place from June 12 to 22. ... They are designed to demonstrate the US Air National Guard's ability to quickly deploy

From early April to mid June does not exactly demonstrate an ability to "quickly deploy", IMHO.

Calm down, man.

Wake up, what you used to do and what is going on now don't even resemble each other.

My main point is that they will be used in the Ukraine conflict.

My main point is that they will be used to engage in Ukraine. I guess you missed that point.

But when TSHTF, they also will not be around to engage if needed.

Are people just so asleep they do not see what is going on?

SMDH.
